Alum: I went to Delano Public Schools from fourth until I graduated in 2022. Over the years there were a lot of changes to the actual building of the school, but not much to the schools themselves. A very clicky community that carries over into the school very harshly. Teachers are all super nice and helpful and so is most of the staff although I think they should be having higher wages instead of cutting them to help "improve" the school. Athletics are a huge part of the school, but again a very clicky atmosphere within all sports, and lots of coaches play students off of that clickiness as well which is disappointing, but I understand it happens. I did enjoy my time there very much everyone is accommodating to helping students of all learning capabilities and teachers truly value every student's education.... Read 19 reviews

Senior: I’ve lived and attended Monticello public schools my whole childhood, I am now a senior and getting ready to attend college once I graduate. The things I would say about the Monticello district is that they prioritize the importance of teaching other how to be treated. Out of all my time here I can say is rhat every teacher I have had has gave me the best respect they can offer and the bets experience I could have. Now, the ace academics. I personally thing the academics are just fine but maybe could use a little bit more work, from a student I would maybe suggest more online work maybe, less paper work for kids. We are coming on a age where most children will have a device and can access the internet. Some kids may not be able too, which is why they provide a paper copy, but most kids would love to do more online, from what I hear. Parent: Excellent teachers who go above and beyond to provide the best education possible for our kids. Elementary schools have provided students with in person instruction all school year. Senior: My experience at HLWW has been a very good one. Since we have such a small student body, it's easy to learn everyone's names and what kind of person they are. That's one thing I love about going to school here. A lot of schools have over 300 students in one grade, and they don't know who half of them are. But, at HLWW, we have a little over 300 in our whole high school. I like how I can walk down the halls and know who every person is. In academics, HLWW has some of the most caring teachers you've ever seen. They really want their students to succeed and have a future. In sports, we have coaches that never give up. They don't let a record from the year before stop them from trying to be the best. Our players are also very resilient, they work hard and never give up. Parent: KCS is a breath of fresh air! It's unique in so many ways. Too much traditional book learning has proven to be a deterrent to the joy of learning. Here, the teachers and staff are creative and innovative and engage the students by focusing on hands-on, experiential learning. What and how they learn is pertinent to the way we live today. It is realistic and applicable to the reality of the student's lives. The high school was only added a couple years ago, but the educational plans and methods are excellent. More sports and activities are being added as the school grows, but already, 5th graders can participate in basketball. They have numerous periodical after school activities, such as floor hockey, karate, Lego League, "The Polar Express" and more. The teachers and staff are very focused on each student's peace of mind and character development. They rise to any challenge with a determination to overcome any obstacles.
