Senior: I have been a part of the New Philadelphia City School District since I started elementary school. The best part of the district is the extracurriculars they offer. I have been in their band for 7 years. 6th-12th grade. I've played multiple percussion instruments and I am currently the first chair snare for the Marching Quaker band. My worst experiences would be the communication with guidance and teachers, trying to get help and guidance with colleges my junior and senior year was a struggle.... Read 14 reviews

Senior: Dover has very experienced and qualified teachers. The teachers and administration care very much about their students. The teachers do all the can to help all the students succeed. Whenever I was having any trouble or needed some help, there was always someone willing to help. The teachers also care about having a great learning environment. At Dover city schools, it is very easy to improve and succeed because of the amazing people and the environment. They also have really good sports programs for all the students. Although academics is the highest priority, they have developed an amazing sports program. The high school is really new. Dover overall has really good faculties available to them. The school has really great programs for helping out in the community. These include Big brothers/sisters, key club, and interact club, etc. There is also a variety of clubs and activities available for all students. There is also really good food in the cafeteria.... Alum: Garaway local schools located in Sugarcreek, Ohio, overall provides a good education for elementary and high school students. They have mainly kind and caring teachers and staff that want to see their students succeed. I will say that their policies and rules have gotten a lot more strict and ridiculous through the years. For example, this past school year they made students carry around a bathroom punch card that allowed them to use the bathroom only two times per period per semester. A pretty ridiculous rule if you ask me, if I have to go to the bathroom I will go to the bathroom whether you give me permission or not. I but they have also put a lot more effort into making sure that the school and its students are safe. To enter the school after 7:30 am they have a series of two doors that you must get unlocked by a staff member after buzzing in while all other doors of the building remain locked the whole day. Alum: I graduated from SHS. We have a beautiful new facility - kindergarten through 12th grade. We are small but mighty. The community totally supports the school by passing levies and participating in school activities. We take pride in our school and love watching the young people as they grow. The teachers are mostly excellent and love the students. I would love to see more students attend the district - w e have many renters and people tend to move in and out.... Read 4 reviews

Sophomore: The teachers are great and take their jobs seriously, while making it fun for students. Teachers help the students understand difficult topics and show a great ammount of patience and kindness. The staff of the school are thoughtful and genuinely show interest in the students lives and their well being. Students here are held to a higher standard than most other districts in the area. There are many inviting clubs to be involved in, as well as sports teams and electives that promote diversity and do a great job at including everyone showing interest. The counselors do a wonderful job at preparing students for life after highschool. They are extremely encouraging and helpful. Indian Valley provides a safe environment for learning and growth! Senior: I like Newcomerstown High School, because I feel like I’m home when I am there. Everyone treats each other like a family and it overall has a good vibe. The teachers there are absolutely amazing, and they teach you but have fun while doing it. There are many positive leaders which help out a lot. One thing I wish would change is the amount of student and staff that go to sporting events or even play the sport. Our teams are usually low numbered and not many people get involved, but I believe with tour leaders we have they can change that and make more people want to participate.... Read 3 reviews
