Senior: I have go to school in the Tuscaloosa City Schools district my whole life and it has been a wonderful experience. The classroom environments are fun and welcoming and every student receives the same opportunities. This school system is always trying their hardest to reward good behavior and give equal opportunities to everyone who is deserving. The teachers are very hands on and in my experience have always put the students before themselves and their lives. There are so much club and teams and ways to get involved that are inclusive of everyone. Senior: The Tuscaloosa County School system provides a wide variety of trade and extra curricular classes that help prepare you for future careers. Examples would be Advanced Television Production, Welding, Automotive Repair, and Computer Sciences. Though we have great courses, we lack with facilities to truly help students grasp the real hands on work and equipment that goes with a certain career. Not only is this seen with various courses, but also with sports. Being a county school system, financing is broadly spread between schools causing a lack of money for practice fields, weight training rooms, stadiums, and even coaches. There is great potential with the courses and sport activities provided with this school system, however something that could be improved would be a better environment for the students taking those courses to fully get their experience....
