Junior: I attended Capital High School, and the culture there was really great. Everyone around me generally wanted to be your friend. The arts programs are huge as well as sports, and both receive great funding from awesome booster clubs. The teachers here are very respectful and helpful, and just want to see their students succeed. I had a really great time here, especially as part of the band!

Senior: Tumwater School District has high quality staff, administration, and teachers. I have been in the Tumwater School District for 12 years now, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with each and every staff member. I have always been encouraged to challenge myself in my learning, and I would not be who I am today without the selfless individuals who have guided me here. The Tumwater School District staff not only encourage academic success, but also individual success on a personal level. I feel that Tumwater as a city lacks diversity in culture, and it shows in the school systems. However, the school district continues to provide resources and opportunities to encourage and support diversity in every aspect.

Parent: I couldn't agree more with Angela's review. At Meadows, you feel like a community. Your community. We too are a military family so for us, we move often. It is so nice to feel welcome each time we step foot in Meadows. They are always available should you have any concerns or needs. My son's teacher and para are amazing! My son truly looks forward to going to school every day. They're attentive to each child's needs. I've seen them first hand how they manage behavior issues and it's always with kindness and always with the intention to build the child up. I once asked if they had some sort of merit system like the Yelm school district. The response shocked me. They do not believe in merit systems where the child's lack of progress or regression is paraded to the entire class and therefore, humiliating the child and lowering their self esteem. Instead, they reward good behavior and reguide the children who need the extra help. Pure kindness and love.

Senior: Rainier School District has been the best school district I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in about 4. They have an amazing staff who truly care about their students. The community is involved in everything and it’s like one big, happy family. I would give anything to go back and do it all again, just to feel that close, family-like love. The staff have shaped my life for the better, they’re so much more than just a teacher. They are mentors. They are friends. They are people who will drop everything and listen. They truly have the students’ best interest at heart. They are family.

Alum: I have attended the Yelm School District almost my entire schooling career and graduated this past year. Even though we are a very small farming community Yelm School District offers all of the classes that a larger district would and more. They have many extra curricular actives for all interests. It is a diverse atmosphere with many different cultures being represented and respected. The staff will go above and beyond to help students reach for their goals and push students to be the best. I have enjoyed my time in the Yelm School District.

Alum: I attended Rochester School District for all of my years in public school and I absolutely loved it! With such a small tight-knit community, it was so easy to connect with my community members and gain amazing experiences and opportunities over my years in the district. The schools consist of amazing teachers and administrators who were always excited to learn new ways to make learning more fun for the students who attended Rochester School District. I saw the district grow from a small, little-known area, to a place where everyone was moving within a few years! The academics are great, and the schools were given many awards from the state and other institutions for the state-testing scores and other criteria. I would recommend Rochester School District to anyone, and would even have my own children attend the schools for their education in the future.

Senior: I enjoy Tenino High school! I am able to have as many opportunities as other schools which is amazing. THS is a very small school but I am not going without because it is small. The setting of Tenino and THS is family like and makes me feel wanted and safe. I love THS.

Sophomore: My first year at Bellarmine was great. I was involved in many different activities and sports. Everyone was very welcoming to me, and the school did a great job of making sure the freshman were prepared for the Bellarmine experience. And while Distance Learning as been tough, the school is doing a great job of making sure we still get a great education while also making sure we all stay connected during these tough times. I can't wait to be able to physically go back to school!
