Alum: I absolutely loved my time at Wylie! I was one of several students in my graduating class (2019) who had attended Wylie since kindergarten. Throughout my twelve years in WISD, I had incredible teachers who have had lasting impacts on me- even to this day. I learned an incredible amount of information, which really helped prepare me for the transition into college. I also really enjoyed my involvement in the theater program, the track team, PALS, Student Council, NHS, Student2Student, and the Spanish club. There are countless ways to get involved in this school district. The most amazing thing that I experienced throughout my time is the genuine care that the teachers have for all of their student. Junior: As a military child, moving to and from schools every few years has always been a rough part of education and ingratiating myself in with classmates. However, I moved to Jim Ned CISD in 2018 and have stayed gratefully since. The students and staff welcomed me with open arms, and have given me excellent opportunities to learn and enjoy high school. Senior: The Abilene Independent School district has worked very hard to create an environment that is safe for its students and their daily routine. Throughout my four years there, I have become very close with my teachers as they are very involved in how I succeed. Not only do they worry about grades in their class, but they also make sure that all students succeed overall academically while creating tutorial times and always being open to discuss ways to grow academically. If there is anything I would change it would be that more funding goes to the fine arts department. We have a very talented department full of an extraordinary amount of potential that does not have the financial support it needs. Overall this school has worked extremely hard to make progressive changes within its community during the COVID-19 pandemic and many disasters our town has faced. Junior: Trent is a very friendly school district. The teachers at Trent really care about how you're doing and will do everything in their power to make sure you are passing their class and will help you with any other classes you need help with.
