Senior: I personally love this school and I am glad that I will be able to graduate from this High school due to the way they offer classes that not many colleges can. Because of this, I am on track of finishing College a semester early! And who wouldn't love that? The teachers are great, I've made a lot of my teachers that I have had in the past future friends of mine once I no longer attend that school. There is always someone there to help you when you need it, whether it be a teacher or not. But the sports are a different story, our school literally strives off of sports! Corning lives for sports, whether there is a football game, basketball, lacrosse you name it, it is packed with students, parents and even teacher cheering on our team. We even have our own clique called "The Hawks Nest" and that's where you will see Corning Students being the rowdiest bunch of people supporting our fellow friends to win the game! Junior: Wayland-Cohocton Central school is a excellent school in a small town. I really love the teachers here and the way they care about their students from the depth of their hearts. They try to turn students into the best young people going out into the real world. The school offers a variety of accelerated and college course. The college readiness is rated very well, they offer a special class for seniors that helps get you out in the real world. Senior: Love how involved the teachers are with the students. It really helps and shows the students that they actually care about us. Reminds the students that we are worth and prepares us for the real world. Besides the teachers the sports are amazing. Senior: Canisteo-Greenwood is a small rural district that feels like family. We are fortunate to have a lot of community support and involvement as well as teachers and staff that go above and beyond for their students. For a small district we have a lot of opportunities at our school that other schools in our area do not offer. For sports we have a football team and a golf team which seem to be scarce in schools our size in our area. We also have an orchestra, where most other small districts only have a band. Alum: I just graduated from Campbell-Savona this year and I have been a member of the district since Pre-K. I have many good and not so good memories at Campbell, but I believe every student can say that. School was hard, very difficult to say the least. I had a few great, caring, loving teachers, but I didn't have enough. Campbell-Savona needs a stronger, supporting staff for the students. Other than this, my education was pretty good from this school. My High School favorites were the sports teams, I played Soccer and Basketball, and the Band. I participated in Jazz Band, Marching Band and Concert Band. The Band and Sports families at the School were so much fun and so supportive.... Read 11 reviews

Parent: Admin and teachers care, parents are really supportive. This is a really small school in a community hit hard by loss of population, jobs, economic development. They run a program free for all kids up to 5 pm with meals and a bus ride home. The taxes on school are lower than they were 8 years ago. Some people complain that the admin sets a high bar for behavior. The kids can get over 60 college credits for FREE. Many kids graduate and then have their 4 year degrees in 2-3 years with the college credits they already have by HS graduation. Some people will complain about the school but the faculty and staff work hard and care about the students. Not many schools get over half of their kids to participate in music programs. Senior: Teachers work to ensure their students succeed. There is time after school given to address any problems or ask teachers any questions. Athletics contribute to the success of Hornell High School. However, the school does not particularly prepare you for the next step after high school.
