Alum: The best part of my high school career was finally graduating, but that's where the worst part came into play. As an Eagle Scout, I worked very hard to earn my cord for graduation. I was extremely disappointed to have it taken away minutes before the graduation ceremony began, because the Eagle rank is the highest honor in Scouts, and should be respected as such. My school said that the only reason I was not allowed to wear my Eagle cord for the graduation ceremony was that "the school didn't buy it". Even earlier, in the hallway, I had many of my friends and classmates ask what the cord was for, and none of the staff members asked about it, which made me think that the cord was fine to wear. Standing on the risers, one of my teachers came to the top row where I was and demanded I give her my cord, making it seem as if my whole Scout career wasn't important enough for my school to notice. I hope nobody else has to suffer that same embarrassment that I did at my own graduation.... Read 10 reviews
