Alum: The academics and teachers are wonderful. I felt consistently supported by all my teachers in different ways all 4 years. I had the feeling of independence and responsibility while also feeling guided and helped when I needed it. The athletic opportunities at Victor are endless. Not only did I have a wonderful experience participating in athletics all 4 years, I had the pleasure of watching friends and classmates exceed and live out their passions during and beyond their time at Victor. Alum: Like anything else, I suppose Bloomfield is what you make of it. In the words of Albus Dumbledore: Help will always be given to those who ask for it. It's a school where there are just so many opportunities if you just reach out a little. Teachers are very involved and want the kids to succeed and try new things: sports, theater, music, agriculture, etc. Being exemplary in any of these is great, but it's the trying that's encouraged.... Works Here: Just starting in Geneva this year as a fourth grade teacher, this is the 5th district I will have worked in. I have been blown away by the kindness, willingness to help, and overall culture. The new administration is amazing and I feel that joining this team of educators was a great choice! As much as I have tried not to compare it to my previous experience, I have come to the realization that the district I worked in last year was not doing things the way they should have been. Geneva offers a lot of extras to their students, I clouding dual language classes where they are able to start learning Spanish or Mandarin at a young age, which is the best two for students to learn a new language! The best part is the amount of resources and support for teachers and staff, whatever you need assistance with, they will get someone that can help you achieve your goal!... Read 10 reviews

Senior: Small district with a family feel. Everyone gets to participate in sports (no cuts), clubs, extracurricular activities. You get to really know your teachers and they know you. Everyone is watching out for you and caring. Some good opportunities for AP class and dual credit college classes but would be nice to have more. Very safe, nice community. Niche User: The administrators, teachers and staff place students first at Red Jacket! This is a very progressive school with a K-12 1:1 Chromebook Program, Student-run Help Desk and technology in every classroom. This small public school offers all students with the opportunity to participate in athletics, clubs and all extra-curricular activities without fear of being cut due to high student enrollment. Senior: There are plenty of pros and cons to going to Marcus Whitman. We’re a close community meaning that people are always willing to help each other out. The teachers at the school are compassionate most of the time and will usually take the time to connect with the students. The only thing that would bring a bad light to the school can be the attitude of some of the students. There are quite a few who don’t try to get good grades and will try their hardest to be the class clown. Within that mindset, they don’t value their peers and bring others down in the process. Whitman is a school in the corn field, many farmers and lots of agriculture around us. We see many sides of people. Parent: My children have attended Honeoye Central throughout their K-12 education. They are both exiting well prepared to pursue a college education. Due to its size, class selection at the HS level can be limited than what you may find at larger schools; however, there are plenty of dual enrollment (college credit) courses for upper classman. My children have consistently felt safe, supported and cared for by the staff, administration and community of parents. What more can you ask for?
