Junior: I have had a wonderful experience at New Hartford. My teachers since the start of my time here have been nothing but amazing. Even during the uncertainty of the pandemic, nearly all of my teachers allowed me to excel and make the most of my school experience. I also have formed life-long relationships with many of my teachers as a result of their full dedication and interest in me as a person. Knowing that my teachers are always there to help and provide me with opportunities to even further grow is comforting. One thing particularly about New Hartford which can be disheartening is some of the resources which are not taken care of to the extent that they should be. The gymnasium in the high school is subpar, which is upsetting in comparison to the other local schools with updated, better functioning facilities. Senior: Overall, Clinton High School is a very good place to be. Everyone here is very welcoming and is a safe place to be. This school provided me with a great education and the teachers are very passionate about their job. Not all the facilities are top notch, such as the gym that could use renovations, along with the sports fields that are not in the best conditions. I feel that if the school put some more work and effort into other areas on campus such as fields and classroom technology, then the school would be an even better place to be. Alum: Whitesboro Central School District’s elementary/ middle schools’ counselors helped me deal with OCD and improve my confidence. The teachers’ extra help with the coursework helped me achieve the National Junior Honor Society. The middle school was added to the Blue Ribbon of Excellence list. My self-esteem increased and I participated in high school activities, clubs and mentoring. The dedicated teachers helped me to achieve high honors in the National Honor Society. Two teachers received the Empire State Excellence in Teaching Award for their impressive skillsets as educators and commitment to students succeeding. One was my chemistry teacher who inspired me to pursue Biochemistry. This district leads the way in academia offering a great foundation with compassionate, encouraging and supportive faculty. Senior: The Oriskany Central School district for the most part is a great school community to be a part of. Most of the teachers know you by name and care about your success and are always willing to help you. For the most part I have great relationship with my teachers at my home school and at Oneida BOCES as well. The academics here could be a little better and have more of a variety of classes and teachers (especially in the language department). Overall the sports teams are great bt again wish there was more of a variety but that's what happens when you go to a small school, not a lot of opportunity. Freshman: Westmoreland has a truly amazing music and drama department; as a student that has been involved in it since third grade, I can tell you it just keeps getting better. The teachers and staff in every department are always very willing to help any students who need it. The athletic department isn't in the best of shape; but the soccer and track/field teams usually do very well. Clubs and sports are pretty big and being involved in them is a great experience. Freshman: I am in 9th grade and I've had an amazing experience with Camden School District. Camden offers after school opportunities to help you with your homework. They have a 10th period program where students can stay after and get help from their teachers. Camden is a fairly safe community, there have been very few fights and altogether Camden is a safe school. There is nothing that I would like to see change in Camden.... Read 9 reviews

Works Here: I have been a substitute teacher for 12 years and I am very impressed with the curriculum. Although, I think some of the math in the lower primary classes is well beyond the students' capabilities. Also, there isn't enough play time for kindergarten and first grade. I would like to see more cursive taught. I do not believe in social promotions. Common sense tells you if a student can't do 2nd grade work, then they can't do 3rd grade.
