Parent: The curriculum is strong, with students working above grade level in many subjects. Teachers set high expectations and then help each child achieve those goals in a warm and nurturing environment. Each day students’ folders are filled with the work that they have completed so that parents can be informed of their child’s progress. Any obstacles are handled at early stages and the child is treated with the utmost respect every step of the way. The emphasis on STEAM is helping to prepare students for a successful future. Every member of the staff knows each kid--not only their names, but their individual personalities. Additional benefits of ACE include smaller class sizes, character development, a uniform that minimizes drama in the mornings, responsive staff, and an exceptional facility. Alum: I had an amazing experience while attending Queen of Apostles School. The environment allowed for me to fully be myself and express myself artistically. The teachers were encouraging and set high expectations for all students. I would have liked to have more opportunities to join multiple clubs which were not offered at the time; however, my siblings are currently attending Queen of Apostles and I have seen a tremendous change in the atmosphere which fosters school spirit and personal growth.... Sophomore: I have grown to love visi. There are so many supportive teachers and students. I’ve really developed as a person here academically and socially. I have been pushed to succeed by teachers who genuinely care about my success. I will say that most of the school’s issues stem from the student body. There are lots of cliques which appear to reflect socio-economic groups. Most high school students are hyper partisan left wing. That’s just the way of the world. I feel though, that the school has abandoned catholic teaching in the name of preventing conflict with the student body. I can’t fully criticize the school for this because I don’t think there are many solutions but it is a visible tension. The school could facilitate more respect for diversity of thought.
