    Alum: I loved Carlinville Community School district for various reasons. Our town was very involved in High School football games, volleyball, basketball, etc. I remember being in grade school on Friday afternoons wearing a sport jersey of some sort waiting for the bell to ring because that meant football games at CHS. When you were younger you would meet your friends behind the stands and play games or stand around and talk. Eventually in high school we would meet in what we called the "Cavie" corner to cheer on the football boys or even the volleyball girls. Not only did the sporting events with Carlinville High School make an impact on me, but so did the teachers. Growing up and going to each of the different schools Carlinville School District had, I still remember my teacher from each year. I could not imagine growing up in a better community or a better school district. Carlinville Community School District shaped me into the intelligent, persevering woman I am today.

    Senior: Firstly, there is not much about this school that I dislike. The teachers are very caring and they strive to help students if they need. I have never seen a teacher turn down a student if they needed help. The teachers come to school early to help kids and take time out of their days after school to help students if they need. The teachers and faculty members all show that they care about each and every student at SHS!

    Senior: I am a senior at Mount Olive High School and I am proud to say that I will be in the graduating class of 2019. Although it may be a small school in a small town, it never failed to give me the experience I wanted. I was able to connect with people, stay involved with school activities, and express myself all while getting the education I needed.

    Senior: Bunker Hill School District is very small. Everyone knows everyone and that is what is good about this school. The teachers are great, and they really care about each student. They are very smart and are great teachers. Our principal Mr. Smith is also amazing. He cares about every student and if you ever need anything you go talk to him and he will do his best to help you.

    Senior: Southwestern is a very small school. It allows students to connect with their peers and teachers. This experience has been one that I will never forget. This school has given the best of friends and I feel that it was easy to connect to the teachers and other students. Each student feels that they have a family here and I will miss this school after I graduate. My teachers have helped shape who I have become and my friends and I have grown closer. Sure the building can get hot in the summer, but it leads to the jokes that brought each student closer.

    Senior: Overall, Gillespie Community Unit School District No. 7 is a good school. The facility works hard to prepare the students for their futures and help them get to where they want to be. One of my favorite parts of Gillespie is the dual credit classes. Students are offered the opportunity to take classes that are not only fulfilling their graduation requirements, but are also getting them college credits. These courses allow the students at GHS to get a taste of college courses and to save the students money. If there was one improvement I could offer, I would like there to be more clubs to get involved in. Although there is sports at GHS, there seems to be a lack of opportunities to get involved in clubs.
