Alum: I grew up in Mount Vernon and loved attending school in my hometown! The teachers and administration were fantastic and always ready to help students! I felt very involved in my town participating in clubs, activities, and sports. I attending school in Mount Vernon for 13 years and graduated with honors. The facility was great and always being improved for its students. The only thing that could be improved is that I wish I was more prepared for college. My school did not offer as many dual credit classes as I would have liked. Entering college, a lot of my classmates had many more credit hours than me because they were given that opportunity. However, I loved the Mount Vernon school district and really enjoyed my time there furthering my education.... Read 13 reviews

Senior: I have had an awesome time in high school thanks to Marionville. I moved to MHS when I was a freshman from a private school, I didn't know anyone and thanks to all the teacher and welcoming people I have found life long friends and almost made it through high school. Senior: One of my favorite things about Aurora is the people you will meet at school. Some people will become your best friend and most of the time those friendships last all through school. Another thing I enjoy is the willingness of teachers to help students in whatever way possible. Junior: I went to Pierce City High School since I entered grade one. Having years of experiences of what the school went through, I personally thinks Pierce City has stayed consistent over the years. The school district has an easy way of walking to classes and everybody knows everybody for the most part. The only thing that I would like to change would be for the school to explore new courses. I wish the district would add more open to teach other classes and focuses less on sports. I do not really favor sports, but I can't really say anything about it.
