Senior: I've enjoyed being a student in the Prince George County, Virginia district. I have felt challenged in the International Baccalaureate, the Advanced Placement, and the Dual Enrollment programs. I feel that they have all adequately prepared me for college. The small town atmosphere is amazing and I like the way it feels when teachers know me by name. The only way that the school system can improve would be to offer more classes in personal finance and budgeting so that I will feel better prepared to live on my own after high school and college.... Parent: The curriculum is strong, with students working above grade level in many subjects. Teachers set high expectations and then help each child achieve those goals in a warm and nurturing environment. Each day students’ folders are filled with the work that they have completed so that parents can be informed of their child’s progress. Any obstacles are handled at early stages and the child is treated with the utmost respect every step of the way. The emphasis on STEAM is helping to prepare students for a successful future. Every member of the staff knows each kid--not only their names, but their individual personalities. Additional benefits of ACE include smaller class sizes, character development, a uniform that minimizes drama in the mornings, responsive staff, and an exceptional facility. Parent: Loudoun Country Day School's program for PK-8 children is superb! My three children graduated some years ago and they were completely prepared for the next steps in their educational development.
