Junior: Having moved here my freshmen year, I was quickly accepted into Arlington culture. It’s very easy to make friends as there is a little bit of everything for friends. That being said, there are some downsides. For example, sports, being fairly average, are highly funded while the arts are extremely underfunded and looked down upon. Senior: I loved everything about Lake Preston High School, from the students and staff to the opportunities and community. The small community is support in every aspect and you can feel the love. The big majority of the students are very well rounded kids with good hearts. The staff is very supportive as well. They are there for you more than just for help on homework, but for emotional needs too. If you are having a bad time a teacher will not hesitate to reach out. Although because we are a smaller school we do not have a variety of classes as other big schools. On the other hand, the opportunities to be involved are immaculate though. Because of the small numbers, you have a incredibly higher chance to play varsity, make tryouts for One Act, have a solo in choir, become an officer in your FFA chapter, or many more opportunities. Senior: I have gone to Iroquois for all of my schooling, and even though we are a small school they have always worked with all the students to complete the dream. Starting out when I was a junior i was able to take college classes, and learn outside of the school. I was always sad that i couldn't take advanced classes, but in my years i found that it didn't hold me back. The school also offers many sports and I have included myself in several. This includes; softball, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading. I have made not only many friends, but a second family while going to Iroquois.... Read 3 reviews
