Senior: The city board has a wide variety of opportunities for students to engage within their communities and make an impact in the world around them. Their phenomenal teachers keen on helping, even during lunch breaks. Many schools have specialized programs to help students who wish to push themselves find the right learning environment for themselves, ie. the HMST (Honours Math, Science, Technology) program, the AP program and many more. One of the concerns I have, however, is the lack of preparation for its students for post-secondary. My high school waits until grade 12 to explain the university process and how to apply for scholarships. I feel as if these issues should have been brought forth in earlier grades so students don't be surprised in their senior year. Additionally, as a vegetarian, there are a lack of food options at my school, other than a simple cheese pizza, and was hoping they would be more keen on healthier alternatives.
