There is no better place to raise a family than Clinton. For this school district, Excellence is the ONLY option. There are many courses to take to advance or explore your potential career path. The district has prepared many for the rigors of college and the work force. The fact that the administration saw fit several years ago to equip each student with a device shows that the district was putting the students first then and continues to do so now. Clinton School District has definitely earned its A+ Rating. Not only is Clinton doing great things in the classroom, they are also doing great things on the court and on the field. They were easy to reach; gladly returned phone calls and inquiries; and, assisted with the application process during each step. Compared to other independent college prep institutions, RMA is a small school. However, we were thoroughly impressed with the diversity that we saw during the summer camp program; We were pleased to see that it carried over to the academic year. The curriculum is rigorous. The staff is caring. There are a variety of extracurricular activities that are day and boarding inclusive. Alum: With Jackson Public School, I loved how teachers were willing to form valuable relationships with students and parents. I also loved how some of the administrators were able to keep up with the students and help students that were having a hard time. The parent-involvement throughout with the athletic department is extraordinary. Some things Jackson Public Schools can improve their facilities and resources throughout each school in the district. The district could also work on hiring qualified leadership. They could also try and get the community involved a lot more. After a tough year in kindergarten, my oldest son struggled and didn’t show much academic progress due to large class size. After much thought, I realized that a smaller class size is what he needed to cultivate the best learning environment. After researching all the available private schools here in Southern Frederick County, I was dismayed by the few options nearby. After thoughtful consideration, Barnesville fulfilled all of my expectations as a teacher parent. It provided small class sizes, a great amount of time spent outside, many cross-curricular learning opportunities, and a strong community. Parent: I love everything about Templeton Academy! They are very supportive of my son's challenges and provide it when needed. The teachers are team players with the parents as well. The project based curriculum is awesome! It gives the students the chance to learn to work as a team and also use critical thinking skills. The class schedule is unique as well where the student will take 2 courses per semester for 10 weeks and still get all their required credits. Even though school is virtual right now, my son has met some friends. Oh and the class sizes are nice and small. Another thing I love about Templeton is how they praise the accomplishments of their students. My son is featured on their social media pages for winning 2 scholarships for being a philanthropist.
