Alum: I attended Sedgwick schools from 1-12grades and loved every minute of it. My grandma was a teacher in the Maxie district and I was so overwhelmed when we would visit her on our off days because of how large the campus was. I loved at Sedgwick that our campus was easy to get around, our teachers cared about us, they were approachable and they made sure that if we asked questions that we understood the answers. Now that I have children of my own we are back in Sedgwick to send our kids through as well. So far our children love it. Parent: It is a great district with small to medium size classes. Great staff and amazing kids there too! Staff cares about each student and makes a point to have each student career and/or college ready. We have had our children in this district since kindergarten and have never been disappointed. Alum: Overall, this small school was a great school to grow up in, however, my only complaints are those associated with a small town school, so they only deserved a one star deficit. Some classes need to up difficultly level to push students closer life after high school instead of taking such a big leap. The athletic teams and their athletes need a better support system from the parents, coaching staff, and administration. I've observed students/student-athletes fail to meet their potential because of these before mentioned things. With that being said I believe this school still has a lot of potential for growth, improvement, or rebuilding in all of the areas it is lacking. This school just needs many great leaders because I believe it takes a team to run even a small school like Burrton.... Read 3 reviews
