Senior: The teachers, faculty and administrators truly care about the well being of the students. There are plenty of opportunities available for students seeking athletic and other extra curricular activities. Unfortunately, academic excellence is just not a priority. I have competed in many academic UIL competitions throughout my time in Harleton but do not feel the school has enabled me to maximize my abilities. The school is late getting information to the students, does not organize tutoring or practice, and just does not encourage the students to complete in UIL academic competition.... Read 6 reviews

Sophomore: EF is, for the most part, a very good school. I never had any issues with my teachers in elementary, excluding the art teacher (some of the teachers have changed since I've been in elementary, but I haven't heard anything bad). My personal experience in middle school was less than ideal, but the teachers and staff themselves were mostly very pleasant and helpful and the only teacher I had a serious issue with has left. The rules at the middle school are very strict and a bit overkill though, so be warned. High school has been a very pleasant experience so far. Almost all of my teachers have been wonderful, and the two I took issue with have either already left or will leave after this year. The UIL program is excellent and the concert band is rather good (we do fall behind in marching). Academically, it's a great school, but, EF is a small, conservative school in a small, conservative town. If you're looking for a queer-friendly school, this isn't it.... Read 15 reviews

Senior: The high school is very well built. The architecture makes me feel like i’m not trapped inside of a prison. The place has life. The building is very safe. We have automatic locking doors on every room. Police officers are always on campus in case an event were to arise. We have so many opportunities too! Three band halls with enough instruments for almost everyone. They’re well taken care of and always repaired if needed. There is quite literally a club for everyone: Anime, BBQ, Robotics, etc. The kids are rather cliquey, but I’ve found some really great people to be around. The education that I receive follows the state requirements. My teachers are very loving and supportive. I do feel like I have benefited from moving to this school.... Read 45 reviews

Alum: waskom is a small town school, with a great student culture, where most everybody knows each other. While AP classes are offered they are not promoted nor encouraged as they should be. The teachers are wonderful and genuinely care about their students. Football and other clubs such as golf, fishing, ag, and ffa are widely known and have won many prizes and 2 state championships. Alum: It is located in a small town where I grew up. The teachers were nice, there were some pretty hard teacherS from time to time but most of all they were good! The classes were usually small, you could meet with you teacher’s easily.... Read 37 reviews
