Junior: I had an amazing experience at my high school. The teachers were friendly and genuinely cared about their students. They always went above and beyond To make sure we had the resources we needed to succeed. My guidance counselor was especially wonderful. She helped me through some of my toughest and made sure I had the support I needed to get through it all. Senior: South Hadley Public Schools has its flaws just as every school system does; however, for the most part, it is a great community with great opportunities for students. It allows chances for students to be involved in many ways and have one on one help with teachers because of how small the schools are. Parent: As a parent of children that have been part of the Belchertown Schools, I have found that the system has generally provided for a strong academic experience. I believe most teachers to be skilled, inclusive and caring. They generally also seem dedicated to the students and their learning/activities. The curriculum (especially in High School) was appropriate and seemed to offer fairly robust options regarding core learning, electives, and club activity. I'd like to see them continue to bridge the gap between senior year and adulthood (college, trades, next steps, etc.) by introducing classes focused on critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational management. A note on athletics: Belchertown has caring parents and coaches that help develop athletic skills at every age. As children age into High school, they often plan to bring their pride in these skills with them. Middle School Student: I have overall enjoyed my experience at Granby High. The teachers are nice, and you will definitely find a class you enjoy, but the school lacks much school pride. In terms of sports, Granby offers a wrestling team, which recently won its league in the 2022 season, but it used to be better in the 1970s. I would say Granby has better STEM programs than arts programs, mostly because the STEM teachers (especially the math teachers) will truly push you to succeed. The only true negatives are the lack of school spirit and the fact that parents are involved way too much in childrens' learning.... Read 6 reviews

Senior: Coming to Gateway from a bigger school I was worried I wouldn't fit in, but as I got to know the teachers and the students I being to like Gateway. It was a hard adjustment because most people have known one another since elementary school, but as I got to know everyone I began to like them as if we knew eachother for a while. Gateway is a smaller school then the average highschool, but that has had a positive impact on my life. Being so small I have been able to connect with the teachers, administrators, and the students on more of a personal level. Senior: I personally love Ware Public Schools as a whole, the academics are great and the school really tries to get each and everyone of the students to interact with one another. I would love to see Ware Public Schools add onto their academic list, allowing students to have a better chance to explore more possibilities and also making their learning experience an amazing one for those students ready to explore....
