Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District
- School District
- NIXON, TX
- Rating 4 out of 5 6 reviews
Senior: I have been attending Nixon-Smiley CISD for 13 years and have experience almost everything a student has the opportunity to experience. The staff is excellent and always goes beyond their paychecks to make sure that their student’s succeed. However, the school is very small and I feel that they miss out on a lot clubs and organizations that larger schools provide. The administration is very open to student concerns and interests, but since it is a smaller district, only so much can be done to give everyone what they want. I believe that this is something that the school should work on to be certain that everyone has access to their true interests to insure that they enjoy their in-school experience and are further prepared for their future endeavors.

Waelder Independent School District

- WAELDER, TX
- Rating 3.86 out of 5 7 reviews
Alum: I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Waelder ISD for the entire 13 years of my adolescent education. The atmosphere of a small town always resided within the halls of Waelder which I appreciated, it allowed me to be completely comfortable with my peers and educators. Throughout my career at Waelder, I was lucky enough to be taught by genuinely amazing people, people that saw me from my first day of Kindergarten, to my final walk across the stage to obtain my diploma.
If I could request a change, it would simply be an addition of more clubs and after school activities for the students to enjoy. While the student body is a relatively small number, having diverse groups and clubs would benefit the students, as there would be more opportunities to flourish.
