Freshman: Clovis Unified School District is a very well-developed district. Not only, do the teachers and staff go out of their way to make the environment best for their students, but they also are very helpful and welcoming to any new students. I joined this district in 4th grade, and ever since then, I feel proud to be part of the district. The events, academics, and extracurriculars available are incredible. For instance, at my school there are over 20 club options, and the teachers are very open to starting new ones as well! We also have many sports options, and our teams exceed very well in them. Our academics are great as well, and the counselors are a huge help! The only thing that I would change would be for more safety options available, as the district's schools are "open" and are outside schools. Senior: My experience being is the Sanger Unified school is great. What I like the most about Sanger Unified School is the activity they do for the children to make fun. Another thing I will say is the staff members, all teachers are pretty easy to talk to and easy to get along with. But a things that need to change in the Sanger unified is the food they serve, it doesn’t look good which many people tend to skip their meal while in school. Also they should try to provide more food options because you wouldn’t want to eat the same thing over and over. Junior: What I like about my school district in Riverdale, CA is that as a small community we all come together as a united and diverse community. Seeing everyone attend high school events and high school football games back when we could do so. As a small community we all are there for each other always helping one another. The teachers and staff have been very helpful throughout my academic life as a migrant from Mexico. In grade school I had no knowledge in English with the Help of my 2nd grade teacher and other teachers that were really nice and helpful teachers. I was able to learn my proper English which have made my life way easier. Teachers in Riverdale really care for the well-being for every single student. I really appreciate what teachers have been doing for our small community making a difference with the future generations to come. Teaching them the good and not the bad. Senior: My educational experience in Kerman Unified was very positive and allowed me to grow as an individual. From San Joaquin, a small rundown town, to Kerman Unified, was the sensation of walking through a portal. The grass was actually green, and the teachers seemed as if they were powered by happiness. Previously, I had many negative experiences with teachers, but in this new realm, they were very supportive and built bonds with their students. The teachers helped me develop a positive outlook on education that I never had. There are various opportunities that Kerman Unified has to offer, but I would like to change the environment into being more positive and supportive. A possible solution to this could be to have an event on the first day of school with various booths that showcase many career paths and allow students to open their horizons. Senior: My experience at Washington Unified School District was very memorable. When I first attended the school I had to start all over since I had just moved to the city and I met a lot of nice people and cool teachers who made the transition easy. Some of my teachers were really helpful and gave some good advice and life lessons that I will take with me when I leave high school. The school has a small student population so everyone knows each other which is one of the things I like the most about the school because it makes me feel more comfortable with the people in my surroundings. Senior: Central has been one to the best school I have been to. Being a senior, last hear of high school. My years there have been so memorable, there have so many activities and resources to offer to all their students. The teachers are awesome and have made my experience there enjoyable. They have so many pathways available for all students, interested in different majors. The campus is also very diverse and students from all different backgrounds have the campus unique and special. Now that Central High school, formally known as Central west, has an Ag department with my motivating and great teachers. Again, the main reason why I decided to stay at Central is because of their awesome staff and pathways which include, Ag, criminology, nursing, education/teaching, dual enrollment, dance, and so much more! Senior: I’ve been enrolled in Fresno Unified all of my school career except for freshman and sophomore year. Those two years, I wished I could always go back to Fresno. There was such diversity and a bigger understanding of how important school culture and how important the environment is to students. I’ve always loved the diversity, we have students from every background. Every student is encouraged to join sports, so much so not every sport cuts athletes. The teachers are just as inclusive and supportive, they dedicate much of their extra time to support their students. I would say I’m very happy at Fresno Unified/ Fresno High School.... Senior: Ever since I started school, I have been on the same district. I started in Huron Elementary School. My experience in that school was excellent. I went from being a student who had no knowledge about academics to an advanced pupil. During Middle School, I learned interaction and social skills. Everyone was united as a school. Senior: My experience at mendota unified was a great one. Over the years I’ve learned that we are actually a smaller district though despite that, we are very well rounded. Since we are smaller the communication between the district, parents, and students is very great. During my Aztec career I was involved in many things with mendota unified. Mendota unified has great athletics programs and extracurricular clubs. Also the district is just growing more and more each year. Every year we grow more and more which is amazing for a small community like ours. Overall I believe our district is great however the one thing I feel can be better is the food.
