Senior: I love Saranac Lake High School. The culture is unbeatable! There’s nothing like attending school in Saranac Lake. All of its staff and coaches do an incredible job making the students a priority, but unfortunately we have limited staff at the district. Junior: Overall, I have had a quite positive experience with my school. My school has faults like any other, but I wouldn't change being able to grow up here. We are small, close-knit, and almost always there for each other. Our teachers are excellent and try their best to keep us involved. Senior: I transferred to Salmon River in 2015, for the beginning of my junior year. At first like every other transfer student you despise the place. But as time went on I began to enjoy my time at Salmon. The sports at Salmon weren't as good as my previous high school but the people and coaches there were what made it great. I enjoyed my chemistry teacher very much. She was amazing and really good at her job. She was probably the only teacher I liked. One thing I would change is probably the bathrooms in the old wings of the school, man those were disgusting. Over all, im now in my senior year and im thankful my father transferred me over to Salmon. My old school was full of racists.... Read 29 reviews

Senior: It is a pretty good school, especially for the location. It is a small town and for a small town does pretty well. I sort of wish that there were more veriety in classes but again, it is a small town. Everyone there is really nice though and cares about those attending.... Read 6 reviews
