Senior: Delaware Academy is a small school that helps their students reach their highest potential ! The high school guidance counselor helps each student as an individual when searching for college. I had the guidance of my parents, but she made sure all of my paper work was sent out on time. Although we have been accepted to colleges, we are still encouraged to work hard in school daily. There are many scholarships that are given out at graduation. The monetary awards are given out fairly. It’s important for the school to make sure all of the students that deserve awards get money towards college. This I personally feel is how the school is supportive of everyone at graduation. Some students choose the work force, a year off before college or to go right into college. You are never shunned for your choice and that’s important ! Alum: A lot of the teachers were phenomenal, especially those in the English and History department; however, some of the math teachers in the high school feel unreachable. There were a variety of options to do for sports afterschool, but not much else. The art department seems to take a backseat, and this is evident considering the lack of an art club. That’s not to say the art teachers aren’t amazing, but rather more focus should be placed upon their efforts as well as the students. As for administration, there were some questionable choices relating to the bathrooms for 2018-2020. They closed the bathrooms entirely on the science/math side of the school, so if someone needed the bathroom they’d have to walk the entirety of the school to reach an unlocked one. Alum: There are a lot of nice people willing to help you when you are stuck with a question on homework or class assignment. They are very motivated with education and all students should receive that education. The only change I would hope to see is that they upgrade the English department, so that they are up to par with all the other schools in the New York State.... Read 7 reviews

Junior: I would like to see teachers having more power over what goes on. I would also like to see some technological advancements in the near future. We have 2 laptop carts and some of the laptops don’t work. Our computer teacher is very talented but it is hard to work with what has been given to him. Senior: South Kortright held the best staff to have at a school! Sometimes the staff wasn't the best but they were always friendly and everyone looked out for each other. Senior: There are so many good things about Walton, we are a very open and caring district. The teachers help the students as much as they can to remind kids of overdue assignments, teachers take the time to have timeslots open for review sessions and extra help. We are very welcoming of new students and take the time to provide the support and encouragement needed for success. There are many different clubs and sports that the students can participate in, and if there isn't a club or a sport that they are interested in all you need is a few signatures of kids who're interested in participating, bring it to the board with a strong reasoning. The school board is open with their decisions and have good reasonings for if the new idea is approved or not. There are many different types of classes that one can take to further educations and get a head start on their college courses. We have plenty of resourses availiable for students whether they are stuggling in class, or things not well at home.... Read 19 reviews

Senior: I have enjoyed my school. From the large range of students from different races and nationalities, to the helpful teachers and of course the sports. When it came to my education the teachers on the most hand where there to help you when it is needed. I feel the school did a decent job to prepare me for college and what is needed to make it after high school. I really enjoyed being a part of the soccer, basketball, baseball and golf teams. Senior: I like that they provide a chromebook for each student. It makes working on anything school related a lot easier. There are also many opportunities for students to excel with the advanced tracks they have. They offer many different courses and the teachers are very involved with the students. They want every student to do good. One thing I would like to see happen in Roxbury would be more electives. Senior: Aspects I liked during my years at Charlotte Valley Central School was the fact that we were a very tight knit school and we worked together. I liked the fact that we were close and it was easy to approach a teacher or other student for help or a problem that happened. Although my school was a very small one, we did get chances to excel and extend our horizons. Charlotte Valley was always willing to go beyond and try making us the students get the education we wanted. In my case, I talked to the people in the school, to try and get higher classes for me this year so I could challenge myself more, and they proceeded to help me accomplish that.
