Senior: We have a great school that strives for students getting a great education! We are ranked nationally for a our elementary and high school education along with 13:1 teacher/student ratio and 100% graduation rate. The community is very much involved as 100% of the students will recieve scholarships from our Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars which is very successful in out small community. The college readiness is one of the best things. Since freshman year I have been able to take college classes and will transfer leaving me at graduation with 40hrs of college credit. That is a huge savings on tuition, but books and we are able to get that college feel by attending the local satellite college. Our community is small my class size is only 40 people so the diversity is not what a bigger school is and this leaves alot of closed minds when it comes to leaving to bigger places. Elementary students are learning quickly even in kindergarten as by the time they finish most are reading!... Read 16 reviews

Parent: When I was younger, my dad was in the military and we moved all the time. As I started getting older, my dream was to start school and end school in the same place, but it never happened. The military moves you alot! When I had my son, that was something I was GOING to have for him! I wanted him to start kindergarten and graduate high school with the same kiddo! And low and behold he will graduate next Saturday! WDCCSD is AMAZING. The staff helps anyway they can., not just with in the walls of the school building, but out side of it as well. They have a genuine desire to make sure all the kids are doing well! Their Fine arts, music and sports are top notch in all categories and there is always something for the kids to be involved in! My dream is that when my grandkids are born... they get to start and end school in Manchester at West Delaware!... Read 9 reviews

Alum: I was at Ideaventions from 7th grade through 12th grade, and it was a phenomenal experience. The teachers give high quality, engaging lessons. Roughly half of the classes are project based, even the English classes, something that I think is great when it comes to learning how to work effectively. The engineering classes are all hands on, where the classwork revolves around designing and building systems. The math curriculum is deep and efficient, the teachers present the information in an efficient manner that gets at the core axioms of a concept which us students then extrapolated and implemented in order to solve problems, a method I find to be far superior to the traditional approach of memorizing steps to solve problems. The clubs! These were the best part of the school, and there are all kinds of fun clubs. A few of my favorites were the Naturalist club, Inventor's club, Math Honors Society, Dungeons and Dragons club, and the Sysadmin club. I 100% recommend this school.... Read 12 reviews
