Parent: Parent of two students - one current, one just graduated. More than a school: a "community" we've been a part of since Kindergarten. Gotten better each year, and reassuring to see our kids go and leave school happy and enthusiastic every day! Very attentive, creative and engaged faculty and administration. Positive and supportive faith and values based environment. Hard to do everything as a smaller school, but what they do, they do exceptionally well. Small classes lead to a great learning environment, but naturally challenge extracurriculars and athletics. Excellent art and STEM. Interesting diversity from international students. Buildings and grounds are in great shape and constantly being improved. Our graduate will be attending one of the most competitive private HS in the region, and totally ready to go! Parent: My husband and I wanted an inclusive school that would be an extension of our family, and we found that in the Burgundy Community. We made the decision to send my son to Burgundy in JK and looking back now as he is in the midst of 2nd grade, choosing Burgundy was the best decision. Burgundy is a nurturing community that fosters the whole child, ensuring life long learners. Burgundy leans into a child's individual character and ensures every child is heard and has a voice. Parent: Sidwell has provided my children with an exceptional academic experience emphasizing critical thinking and problem solving, writing and communications, and quantitative reasoning. The workload has been substantial at times, but always enriching and interesting (i.e., rarely if ever busywork) and will fully prepare students for the rigors they'll experience in college and beyond.
