Senior: I've had a great time here at Pilot Grove. Of course it has its ups and downs just like every school. the main problem here is your last name really affects how you're treated here. It's like this in most towns, but if you don't have the right last name you can be excluded from a lot. You're seen as an outsider and get pushed to the side most of the time. Another small town problem is that we aren't very diverse at all. We have maybe five or six people of color in our school district. As far as I know they aren't treated differently, but there isn't many of them either. Besides all of that, I think Pilot Grove is a good place to go for your education.... Read 2 reviews

Senior: Prairie Home school is a k-12 institution. This means that kids from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade are in the same building. This may sound very odd and unusual to most people because I'm fairly certain that isn't very normal. However, I have had a great experience in the almost 13 years that I have attended Prairie Home. It's a very small school, meaning that I know everyone by name, throughout every grade. We don't have the best sports records, but no one ever gets down on themselves for losing, you just try harder. Being such a small school, the one on one time and connections you get with your teachers is unlike any at another school. If I were to need help on any kind of assignment, I could go to any teacher and they would give me the time out of their day to help. I am lucky to have spent my academic career at Prairie Home.... Senior: I enjoy how tight knit the community is at Otterville, you always know that someone is there for you and believes in you.
