Parent: The Columbiana School District is located in northern Columbiana County, Ohio. The district has outstanding academic and athletic programs providing opportunity for students to pursue college and vocational options post K-12 schooling. The district serves it's mission well as it seeks to provide student with a positive and safe school experience. Both of my children attended the district and were prepared for the academic challenges of college. My oldest daughter received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball while my youngest was admitted to the college of her dreams with scholarship support. The Columbiana School District resides in one of the safest communities in Ohio to live and raise children. The school district is an outstanding partner to parents and community members as it is the heart and soul of the community. Senior: Beaver Local is a very interactive high school and has taught me so many different things over the years. Beaver Local supplies so many different programs to keep their students active even after school hours. The teachers are always there to help you and are ready to help you no matter what. They truly care, and it really shows through all of their hours spent after school, helping us students. I am thankful for everyone at the school, even the students who I’ve grown up with. I love all of the class of 2020 with my full heart and am so happy that I spent my years at Beaver Local with them. I wouldn’t change anything that the school is doing specifically, but rather the State of Ohio’s curriculum set for us. I would rather see a more interactive learning style with more in depth learning about real world situations, because frankly, the state does not teach us enough about being a true adult in society.... Senior: I loved how supportive East Palestine was throughout my high school career in athletics and academics. During my time here I have qualified to the state cross country meet twice, state track meet once (so far), and the Mideastern Conference Championships once (so far). Alum: I love this school. The staff and faculty gives you opportunities to take college classes as a junior or senior. The teachers are always there to help you at anytime and respond to emails in a decent amount of time. From what I have exeperienced before I became a graduate was how these teachers give so much to their students and they make an impact for me to fly high and now I'm following their footsteps to become an educator and be a mentor to my future students. Niche User: The district has made many upgrades and improvement the last few years. Every employee in the district cares about the kids, and it shows by how hatd they try to help. They provide free breakfast, lunch, and all supplies including book bags to students at their own cost, and have upgraded their buildings and books as well.
