Junior: I love the environment at Freeport. I love being able to have close relationships with my teachers and feeling connected to my learning environment. The extracurricular activities here, specifically in the music department, are enjoyable to participate in and display a great quality of talent and learning. I enjoy the small town feel of Freeport and being able to personally know most of my classmates. I genuinely enjoy going to school and I think I can credit that to the positive learning environment of Freeport and the availability of friendly teachers that committed to my success. Junior: Throughout my years at Mars I’ve realized that the school district creates a well balanced learning environment, but there’s always room for improvement. I think the Mars learning experience is what you make of it. They offer tons of resources to help get the students involved with their education and community, but you have to be proactive about this. Some people will say that this school district offers nothing, but I think those people have not reached out to the teachers and administrators about the opportunities this school provides.... Alum: The high school itself is fairly out of date. The band room would flood regularly and there were several rooms that could use some updating. Despite this, there were several teachers and staff who would do anything to help the strudents. There was always someone that I could go to if I needed help. Extra activities were strongly encouraged and many students were involved in sports and music groups. There were also a lot of different clubs offered. The career and college fairs that they held helped to educate students on the possibilities after high school. Overall I am appreciative of education I recived from Slippery Rock.... Read 30 reviews

Senior: Moniteau School District is a very involved and supportive community. The teachers are very hardworking and kindhearted. Many of the teachers write 3-4 different lesson plans weekly due to the variety of classes that they teach. They are also very involved in extra curricular activities. Multiple teachers and staff members coach sports teams, lead clubs, and head activities in the community. It’s common to see other teachers at sporting events supporting the students. Although Moniteau does not have as many students as some of the surrounding schools, the sports teams are still very successful with talented multi sport athletes. The academic decathlon team has been very successful in the last few years also. Many of the participants bring home medals. The decathlon members work hard year round on their studies. There is always a variety of food to choose from at lunch, including a salad bar. Moniteau is an all around safe and involved school full of talented students and staff.... Read 30 reviews
