Senior: Early HS is a school centered on Academics and is rated one of the best schools in Texas. The school focus on preparing for college with at least 70% of the graduates pursuing college studies. The school wants to ensure student safety and has certified teachers with approved to carry firearms. The school is mostly Angelo populated with a very small minority group. Senior: I have had an overall amazing experience at BHS. We have amazing students and faculty. In our small school we really do act like a family. One of the things I would change about BHS is the open-mindedness of the district. Since it is a small school it is more conservative. This is why I hope that BHS can grow to be a more accepting.... Senior: I absolutely love the small school feel. Everyone knows everyone so we really are a family. This school has experienced insurmountable amounts of adversity and each time something happens you can see how much people love their school and community. Sophomore: May ISD is a very homely place, but it is in a very small town that just doesn't have the staff to have many options for classes. Senior: I like how Brownwood's study body is diverse in the types of individuals it has. Most public schools don't have the whole spectrum in terms of personality types, strengths, and especially financial background. Brownwood has all variations of these things, that I believe is rare. Usually when these different individuals come together they tend to gather with others in similar traits or backgrounds. However, if you look at the student body at Brownwood, students don't stick to the expected cliques, but rather associate with individuals dissimilar to themselves. I believe that's what makes the student body at my school so unique. I'm friends with people I would've never imagined I had things in common with. I think it gives up all a different outlooks on things, because we converse with people that have radically different experiences than our own. Sophomore: I found my home at Zephyr in 7th grade after moving to this tiny school district from Brownwood (a much larger school) after feeling overwhelmed by the student/teacher ratio and the distractions that came with having such a large number of kids together. I just immediately felt at home in my new school as they welcomed me into their community. Everyone knows everyone else, including their families and are eager to help in times of need. Senior: My experience with Blanket ISD over the past 13 years has been wonderful! The staff and administration are very supportive. They are always willing to help and make sure each student succeeds. Everyone is on the same campus, so the environment is unique.
