Auburn Public Schools
Parent: Both of my children have gone to school in Auburn since Kindergarten. They started at Walton where they each got the individual attention they needed. (As a parent, you have to realize that half of their education happens in school and the other half they get from you at home.) Then they went to AMS where, depending on the team they were on, they either had good teachers or new teachers who needed a lot of practice. The food at AMS was good, and I would suggest getting your child involved in as many extra-curricular activities as you can, such as Odyssey of the Mind. That way if they aren't challenged in their academic classes, they are growing in other ways. Edward Little High School offers a lot of honors and AP classes, and the teachers at those levels are some of the finest ones in the building. The lunches there are sub par, but the school is being rebuilt (hooray!) so hopefully when that happens, other areas will improve as well.... Read 10 reviews
