Senior: I have a special place in my hear for Abington Heights School District. From the elementary schools to the high schools, the administration does an amazing job of ensuring the best education. All of the teachers and administrators contribute to Abington's unique culture throughout the district. The food throughout the district is not mind blowing, but there are some days that I am blown away by what the cafeteria comes up with. The clubs at Abington Heights are geared toward community involvement and helping others, creating incentives to get involved. Teachers are always offering to provide students with extra help when needed, and the office hours offered by Abington Heights are always beneficial. The schools are probably the safest schools in the area, partly because they are located in safe communities. However, the administration does an amazing job ensuring student safety.... Senior: I liked my education at Dallas because of the teachers. They made learning fun and were always willing to help you. Dallas has a great sports program with coaches who work with you and guide you. The teachers and coaches show interest in you, both sides support learning and socialization. The spirit Dallas has in enthusiastic. We are one community and one family, we are Dallas strong. One thing I would change is helping students prepare for college. Alum: Attended this school district from K-12. The teachers, generally, were very good. However, the school could do with preparing kids for college more, and having better course offerings in the future. Senior: I've really enjoyed my years at Valley View. There are a lot of really great teachers and coaches that are eager to help students grow and prepare for their futures. I also think that our guidance counselors did a great job preparing us for college through the many dual enrollment and AP classes offered, and they've made it easy to get personal help with any questions regarding college readiness. I think the best thing that a Valley View student can do for themselves is to immerse themselves in the school. They have great opportunities available through the extra curriculars offered, and if a student wants something that isn't offered there is usually a teacher willing to help. Junior: WVW High School is a really good school in terms of faculty, students, and their academic excellence. It allows students to discover their potential talents within them. The teachers encourage the students to pursue their dreams. The students are positive and carry a friendly attitude with them. There are a number of fun clubs and sports in this school. Although I don’t participate in any sport, I know WVW field hockey team has participated in the 2017 state championship game. Besides sport, students actively participate in academic competitions with other competitive schools and return home with pride. Senior: A small town school surrounded by not much other than trees and cows. Who would have thought some of the best friendships I will ever make would come from this little school in the depths of Pennsylvania. Being in a graduating class made up of 76 students is something most people would look at as way to small. Over the last 13 years I have formed a personal bond with nearly every student I graduated with and can confidently say we were more like a family then a “class.” I was also an athlete having played football, baseball and basketball. Watching the way our small community rallied together around every sports team is truly something that changes the way live your life. It’s not always about the being the biggest or smartest or most expensive school. Sometimes strength in unity and strength in family overcomes everything. Alum: As a Wyoming area alumni, I feel this school gave me the education needed for my choice of college and major. Throughout my junior high and high school years I was on the high honor roll. I took challenging courses knowing it would only help me in my choice of major. I feel my teachers taught me and prepared me for my upcoming college years. I was in advanced classes which I feel prepared me for college. The down fall was my senior year when Covid hit us and missed 3 months worth of face to face lecturing. Although it was an adjustment to virtual learning, I was able to complete my last year of high school with an amazing gpa. I did however make the best of it and in return was awarded summa cummlaude. Junior: I specifically go to the STEM based school in the district, the Academy of Sciences. It is beautiful. The main high school may not have the best reputation, but the Academy building is gorgeous. We are far away from the main building and our school is run as a preparatory and hands on school. We believe in group work and teaching ourselves. We give a lot of freedom in which we get an assignment and can “flex out” or sit in the hallway lounges and work with other peers. Everyone sits in groups and you never feel like you don’t see people because you see them all the time. It’s a small school with around 125 of the district’s kids in a grade level. It’s a test in high school and we have four lab rooms with any equipment you could ever need. The teachers are super friendly and gym is real gym. No sport lessons, but workouts. We run in a block schedule and take four classes a semester for a total of eight a year. The food is excellent and is open all day!... Read 83 reviews

Alum: Hanover needs to change the way they hire teachers. They hire based off name and not education backwards. There have been more than enough qualified teachers that should have gotten her job but it was given to someone else because of their name. That makes the students lack in better education. Students need a more well rounded education from Hanover. They also better college readiness classes. Instead of taking unnecessary courses, students should take classes on college readiness, taxes, mortgages, etc. Information that everyone needs to know for the future. Alum: It’s been many years since I graduated, but the Faculty was always caring and looking out for each students interest. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to major in, so my counselor have me the opportunity to go and sit in some classes to see what I thought would interest me. This really helped a lot! I also liked the office personnel, they always helped a student when they needed a schedule change or answer to questions about the school or academics. They have changed somethings since I have graduated which I thought was great! The school is very large and it had grades 7-12 and the younger students use to either get lost or be scared to change classes due to so many students. Junior: In Carbondale Area, the education given is very good, maybe even outstanding. Our sports, I would say are very fun, however, not taken very seriously. Such as the clubs we have. Senior: I rate it 4/5 because Greater Nanticoke Area School District is very interesting . I moved to this school in 8th grade and my experience here has been a rollercoaster. A few things about the school is that the teachers here are remarkable! They really connect with their students and help anyone in need whether it's for educational purposes or personal matters.
