Junior: My experience at KatyISD has been very rewarding. The high school I go to is very diverse, which feels welcoming towards students of color like me, and there are clubs and opportunities for everyone. Though the general feeling at KatyISD is that the students are kind, you really have to find the right crowd. I have seen many cases of students feeling left out when being new to my district, which I myself went through, but overall most students reach out and welcome you to join them! Works Here: I think Tomball ISD is one of the best districts out there. Alike all districts there are things that could be better and things that should change. I am only a sub as of right now but I would love to teach there after I finish school. I think in some instances we are too soft on kids these days, many are catered to hand and foot and i think in order for students to understand and appreciate the things we do they need more of a firm hand. They need to know that not everyone is going to cater to them and they need to learn to self correct instead of the first hand help EVERY time. Parent: I have seen my children through elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school in FISD and have had a great experience throughout all. All of the teachers I met truly cared for my kids and got to know them as their own person. They used that knowledge to teach my kids in a way that they could learn the best. There were very few teachers my kids didn’t “like”. My kids genuinely enjoyed their years growing up in the FISD schools. Senior: I have been in the Clear Creek Independent School district for my entire life. Overall my experience has been positive. I love that I still have relationships with my elementary school teachers, and I often go back to help them in their classroom. I know that even as I continue on to college, I will keep in touch with many of my teachers. As I have gone through high school I have noticed that CCISD does not spend their money fairly. I am a diver at Clear Springs high school that is signed to the University of Utah, yet our program is not supported. Senior: I have been educated within the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District since Pre-Kindergarten. I would would say my overall experience was extordinary and profound. There was a vast amount of diversity around the entirey of the school. The extracuriccular activities were accumulated to students commons of instrests and values. Throughout my educational journey the faculy and staff was exceptional, I was assured that they put forth more consideration in my education than I did. The learning curriculum within their Middle Schools could use some reconstruction; it was seculry fendemental. During my years of middle school, it fell as though I was being taught them same material I was in school; except my Math courses. And I was until I started attending highschool I felt that dramatic change in education that I should have recieve in middle school. Senior: Harmony public schools are an amazing school district! The schools provide students with an abundant amount of STEM programs! Overall school environment is always clean and well maintained! The Staff and teachers are friendly and easy to approach! Students are always challenged to different real life problems in class. Students are also college-ready by their graduation year And have extra guidance with college counselors. Teachers are always open for office hours as well. As a student in Harmony Public Schools, my experiences in school and after school have been very good. The academic Curriculum is indeed challenging and involves real world problems. Alum: My experience with the Humble Independent School District was wonderful as a high school student. Compared to Houston ISD, the size comparisons are beyond different. Attending a smaller school district made my high school career easier;there was more funding towards the schools, teachers took their jobs seriously and not treated it as a daycare for young adults, the environment of the school district is diverse; Humble ISD has many great attributes and using 1000 characters isn’t enough to express my experience here. The district takes pride in their students wellbeing and the community’s as well. When covid occurred in 2020 the district gave out free meals to every student in their district and to their parents as well, each year there is a Christmas parade which allows each school to participate, and Humble ISD even allow the community and students too vote on how their students calendar should be, because of this students get a week off in October and February. Senior: My experience in Klein schools through out the years has been mostly great. I started at Erhrardt Elementary and all my teachers there were very nice and caring. I felt like all of the teachers and administration knew my name and always went out of their way to talk to me. I went to middle school at Kleb Intermediate. The most of the teachers there were nice but it was bigger and a lot more students so I felt like I was just another student there outside of sports. My coaches knew me well. The summer before starting at Klein High I was working out with the high school coaches and I already felt more comfortable being in high school. Playing sports really helped with transitioning from middle school to high school. Klein High is good about pushing core values and treating everyone like they are someone! Parent: LPISD is one of the best kept secrets in the Houston area. Let me start by saying last year I had 3 students in 3 different schools; a 4-year-old at the Early Education Center at Heritage Elementary, an 8-year-old in 3rd grade at Rizzuto Elementary, and a 16-year-old at the Academy of Viola Dewalt. Just like my children, each of these schools is unique in its own right, but the culture of the district is cohesive and I attribute that to the communication of leadership from the admin building to the individual campuses. By opening the doors for volunteer programs, corporate partnerships, and family engagement opportunities, we have truly provided much-needed additional support to both students and teachers to help them succeed. Our teachers are second to none at teaching the whole child. Our athletics and fine arts programs are not only great, they just keep getting better (check out our Track and Field and Band records and attend the LPHS musical in the winter!) We love LPISD!... Sophomore: I would rate Magnolia High School four stars. The best part of the school is definitely the accessibility to get involved. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs that allow students to connect with their peers. On the contrary, MHS also contains its fair share of troubles. While some teachers at Magnolia High School are truly amazing and make great impacts on their students' lives, other teachers do not share the same characteristics. Junior: I love my school district Galena Park ISD! The best part about it is all the diversity in the district along with the welcoming feeling you get being in a GPISD school. Another amazing thing about GPISD is that every student has a good relationship with at least one teacher. Senior: I love NCISD, and I’ve been a proud Eagle since 2020! The staff is so understanding and supportive. Senior: Growing up in Alief and being here since kindergarten, everyone knows each other either directly or indirectly. In my time of attending school in Alief, many things have changed with the school system. There are more branch buildings, career development centers, and early starter centers, which I have attended, and more options for classes. Though being here since the beginning has allowed me to witness some things that may not be the best in the district, such as the rules that we can't swim on field trips due to liability or that we can't have prom due to awe.I understand for safety purposes and for cost reasons, but when students think of prom, they think of a party outside of their community, not prom fifteen minutes away from home....
