Senior: I went to Sergeant Bluff my entire school career. For 12 years I saw what good came from Sergeant Bluff. It is a small community. Everyone is close. All the teachers want what is best for their students. I never felt like I couldn't go to one of my teachers for help. Everyone there tries to give every student the best possible opportunities. Every student is given the chance to be great. While the school is not as big as some of the surrounding schools, it still had different pathways for different career paths. This was the first year they they had a career fair, where most students that attend found something good in it. I heard from lots of people how they talked to colleges or a local company. Junior: Lawton-Bronson Community School District is a small but impressive district that despite its small size still provides extensive opportunities to its students. Lawton-Bronson has many computer learning programs along with many industrial programs such as fabrication, building, and welding. Although it is a good school students like me may not get all of the opportunities that students at larger schools get. Alum: Woodbury Central is a classic, small school. Class sizes are small, and you really grow up with the same kids. I was with the same classmates from kindergarten through 12th grade. Teachers care about students. With the small school feel comes some of the drama with everybody knowing everybody and everybody knows all about everybody. Elementary teachers are amazing! Middle school and high school teachers are mixed...a few put forth minimal effort. Some really put time in and I could always tell they cared.... Read 7 reviews

Senior: I moved to Westwood High School my freshman year and it was personally one of the hardest challenges I have had to face in my life. Change is not my specialty at all. I was the new girl that everyone would talk about and it fightened me. It soon started to grow on me and everyone ended up being so welcoming and helpful. I never met such amazing people before. The students are awesome, the teachers are knowledgeable and cooperative, and the facility is amazing. They also try and get you involved as much as possible. There personally nothing I would change about this school. I believe that if anyone were to go to Westwood, they would enjoy it as much as I do. Alum: This school district provides high school students a lot of opportunities to experience different careers to help students figure out what they want to pursue when they're older at a free cost. They provide a lot of help for those who need the extra help and the staff there are very nice people. I graduated from one of their schools, and I'm glad I had the chance to go there because not every school has opportunities for their students to take classes to help them in the future.
