Parent: Students have every opportunity to find a path for them, to pursue a passion, to be a part of something, and to have a tight-knit experience with their peers. The proximity to Des Moines does not make it feel as rural and small as it may seem, and unlike similar schools this size, ours gets results like many of the better known suburban schools around the Des Moines area. Parent: The school district is good and is constantly improving in multiple areas. The facilities are top notch and still being improved upon. There are activities that apply to everyone and room for earning college credits. They also have a unique opportunity to work with some local businesses to gain work experience during school hours. Like every district there is room for improvement, but Knoxville has recently been showing they are willing to adapt and change for the better. Senior: I have lived in Melcher Dallas and have been attending Melcher schools my whole life and I can say that I love growing up in a smaller town; and going to a smaller school district. Melcher has had a hard time with science teaching and finding the right teachers to teach the students but this year of 2020 we have found a good teacher. My science learning experience has been a bumpy ride. All my other learning subjects have been amazing. I get along with my teachers very well and they are all so caring and kind to there students and love to take part into there teaching and want us to be successful.... Read 3 reviews
