Senior: I personally have had nothing short of a wonderful experience during my time in the Seaman Unified School District. From a young age, teachers and administrators have identified my personal learning needs and have attended to them throughout my high school years. I have had numerous genuine and caring teachers who have supported me and who I have had the ability to create lasting relationships with. I've also been given the support of my teachers while doing projects that have allowed me to travel and learn more than I ever could in the classroom. Alum: My overall experience with Shawnee Heights Unified School District was excellent. I attended school in the Shawnee Heights District from Kindergarten through my Senior Year. I had amazing experiences with all the teachers and faculty in every building. Each of the teachers care very much about all their students in aspects of learning, health, and home life. The staff makes accommodations for those in need to ensure that each student gets an equal chance at learning and becoming the best student and person they can. In Middle and High School, there are multiple opportunities for each individual, such as clubs and sports teams, that allow for each individual to build their character and shape themselves. Senior: Topeka Public Schools offer as much help as a student needs. Unfortunately, with the onset of COVID-19, many students did not seek out the help they needed. Many of my friends just chose to get by with as little as possible. Towards the end, I found myself doing the same.
