Senior: I would like to see more involvement of the students and teachers rather than the board making education decisions for us. Otherwise, I feel as though we are a well-thought-out school district where learning is a top priority. The majority of teachers can about their students and go the extra mile for them when needed. There are multiple opportunities for students to be in charge of their own learning and get assistance when needed. Multiple clubs and extracurriculars are provided to students to help them build their resumes and get involved in their community. Sophomore: Batavia Public Schools focus on getting every student prepared for the future. Starting at the middle school where we would look at future interests in schools, and professions. After that they focused on the step it would take to accomplish the goals required by each unique individual. Our grade councilor and the student would then make a detailed plan to help guide us through courses and what would help prepare us for our specific future. Here at BHS every administrative worker focuses on what’s best for the student and their upcoming objective. The variety of clubs and activities help school feel like everyone has a purpose and that everyone can come together in alike hobbies or interests. We have a variety of recourses to help us prepare for any writing in class or college. Great teachers to provide answers for math, science, and technology. Senior: I have had an amazing time throughout my primary school years in the Central Community 301 School District. The experiences I've been through and memories I've made are some that I will cherish for years to come. The opportunities I've been provided with in regards to college were incredible, and gave me a great sense of security in finding an amazing school for my higher education. If I had to change anything about the Central 301 District as a whole, I would recommend doing more to ensure that teachers and administrators are a right fit for the district. In the past, I myself, or my peers have had poor experiences with teachers and administrators. Senior: My experience attending the Kaneland Schools has had a great impact on how I view many things in life. Coming from a smaller school in Maple Park- sure we are not the biggest school with the most amount of money and resources, however it is the opportunities and faculty that make the smaller school great. In our community, being a senior I have seen many of my past teachers, all they way from Kindergarten, and they still remember me and put in the time and effort to hear about how things have been, intrigued to hear about my plans for the future. Again being from a small school, there are a TON of clubs, sports, and other activities that anyone can join to stay involved. This overall “small school” experience has helped me see how much of an impact I can make on a community, which I hope to carry along with me where ever it is I end up next! Senior: Overall, I have had a really good experience! I have had good teachers who have been very educated in their subject. Most of my teachers have been approachable and flexible when it comes to offering extra help. The schools I've attended have been physically pleasing and the administration has worked hard to keep them up to date. Senior: In August of 2019, I enter for the first time to East Aurora High School. I found passionate teachers are passionate, and challenging hallways. Even with the overpopulated student body, students can find a place to belong, if we put our best foot forward to do our part. The staff is great about creating venues of opportunity and communicating better with the resources they have. There are student behavior challenges that have given a bad reputation to our school. However, our school has improved so much and we do not hear about it as we should. Our graduation rate has been increasing each year! I feel fortunate and grateful to soon be a Graduate Tom Cat!...
