Senior: Emerald is a very friendly environment. The teachers at Emerald are willing to go out of their way to help students succeed. The students at Emerald look out for each other. Saluda High School
- Saluda County School District, SC
- Rating 3.83 out of 5 109 reviews
Senior: Saluda High School has a very welcoming community! Currently, I am a virtual student and one day I had to turn in dues for organizations I am for Honor Society and HOSA. Coming from a small town, I had 5 teachers stop me in the hallway asking how I have been, if I'm coming back next semester, teachers telling me they've missed me and my smile I have in the halls. It really felt good that the teachers and staff truly care about their students well-being whether they are in the building or out! Every teacher and member of staff calls me by my name and greets me every time I walk in the halls. Saluda has the positive small town vibes and truly cares about their students and successes. Over social media, announcements, and in the classroom, teachers and staff share success students have from college acceptance letters, to sports achievements. It feels like one big family having support shown daily for their students.

McCormick High School
- McCormick County School District, SC
- Rating 3.13 out of 5 30 reviews
Sophomore: I like that McCormick High School is really a big family. For the most part, majority of the students and teachers get along very well. I also like the fact that the school is very big on school spirit. However, I do feel as though they could do better on college readiness. I wish they would have more open opportunities to connect and analyze our future plans and our college decision. It would also be nice if they were to put more energy towards helping with scholarships.
