Junior: Caesar Rodney High School has helped me a lot during my education. The teachers want you to succeed, but will not just let you take the easy way out. I do wish some of the classes were more challenging, but I have been academically successful and have learned a lot. As for the atmosphere, many students show little interest in learning. There are often fights in the hallway and the bathrooms are always trashed. It isn't uncommon to catch students doing harmful things to the school. Parent: I moved my daughter from the Capital School District and I have never looked back. It was the best decision I could of made. The classes are smaller she can participate and progress easier. The teachers have time and make time to assist the students with anything they may need extra help in. Alum: Overall, my experience at Smyrna High School was very good! The AP courses offered by the school are directly correlated with what I am learning now in the University of Delaware. The AP classes prepared me for the content and rigor that I am currently experiencing in college. The school environment is average for those who are transferring as a new student. The majority of the students here already formed their group of friends due to going to the Smyrna school district for several years, so it can be a bit hard for new students. Senior: First State Military Academy is a fantastic school for those who are not too fond of big schools. There is definitely more structure compared to most public schools. The teachers are outstanding, all of the teachers are always willing to lend a helping hand. The majority of the teachers truly care about their students. One downside to this school is the lunch. The lunches are not very good taste wise nor proportionately. They're also $3.00 for a small meal unless you qualify for free lunches. Middle School Student: the thing about central, is that they make you do loads of work if your in 7th or 8th grade. The nurse doesnt really care for you that much, but i was reading Dover Highs reviews and they say the same thing. The constables are really good and make me feel safe. The food though, the food is a different story, the thing about the food is that some of it i dont even bother eating, some, like the chicken poppers, mashed potatos, and gravy, is really good. The lunch people are mean. NOT ALL OF THEM THOUGH. Some are nice and some are so bad that i would want him/her fired. Now, the teachers. theyre nice, there mean. some are chill, some are just flat out rude. Substitute Teachers, one of them is very chill, one is very rude. It just happens. All in all, i can not wait to get away from this school. Rated it 3/5 stars for all the reasons written above. If i was to say, yes, bring your child here, its a good school but bad for very little reasons.... Read 1 review

Sophomore: Marilyn is my name, and I am a student at ECHS. I'm in my second year at the school, and I'm really enjoying it. Although my 9th grade year was mostly virtual, ECHS made every effort to make it as pleasant and fun as possible. The staff at the school is friendly and helpful, and they could be your teacher, club adviser, or even coach. The main benefit of ECHS is that it ensures that you begin college coursework in 10th grade and solely take college classes by 12th grade. With the assistance of the ECHS administration, I was able to begin taking college classes this year. At ECHS, I participate in a few groups and sports, including HIA, Volleyball, SLT, and Math League. I enjoyed my time with HIA because it provided many volunteer opportunities, and, like other organizations and sports, it allowed me to become more involved with the school.
