Senior: What I like most about my high school is how well the teachers care about the students. They form a connection and reach out to try and help the students achieve their goals. They teach everyone equally and if you are falling behind, they won't hesitate to offer to stay after school to give the student extra help. I also love the wide variety of classes that are offered that vary from art and music to chess club and film is lit class. The one thing that I think could be improved is the technology at our school. The computers are sometimes don't work and the WiFi never connects to anything. Sophomore: Beaver Area High School has wonderful science and math courses. There are also quite a few criminal justice courses such as Mock atrial, Law and Order, and others. The faculty and teachers are wonderful and amazing people, who are always there for students. There are an abundance of options for sports. We have a swim team, tennis team, track and cross country, softball, baseball, and more. There are also plenty of music and art options. Parent: Moving from TX to PA, our biggest concern was finding a good high school for our son. After visiting multiple schools in the area, we applied to OLSH and are so glad we did. Our son is doing very well there, his academic performance is much better than in public school, where he commented on the continuous disruptions and lack of order in the classroom. We like that the school shares the Christian values we want for our son, without being overbearing. Everyone we've dealt with has been very supportive and helpful. The academic course load challenges without being a grind. The school has that "Ivy-league" look to it, attractive tree-shaded grounds situated at the top of a hill, a fantastic chapel, inviting library. OLSH seems to be a great springboard to a quality university. In fact, I understand that OLSH has a relationship with Notre Dame, and if our son could get in there, it would make his Fighting Irish fanatic grandmother's day!... Read 99 reviews

Senior: I came to riverside my freshman year exchanging from another school district and doing online from 6th grade till then. I had a lot of trama related to school, it was very hard at first to adjust. I would have constant full body panic attacks that left me inconsolable. The staff at Riverside made such a difference in my life and helped me fight my battles. I went through a lot these years with the pandemic and home issues but I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. Junior: I’m gonna be a junior at freedom and so far it’s a great!
