Senior: Obviously, my experience is different since I went through COVID-19. Overall, I like the teachers as many of them are understanding and will support students if they are going through hardships. Most of the teachers teach the subject with such ease. There is an enormous bumbler of clubs that people can join and be a part of. One thing that brings down Stoughton is the mood of it. There are often fights in the halls and it's difficult to see all this violence happening in a place of learning and clubs. Junior: Teachers are amazing, people are amicable, food is ok. Administration, however, has made some terrible decisions without regard to the students, parents, or faculty within the past few years. The school loves to hide things from us that cannot be ignored, like hate crimes in bathrooms and random decisions they decide to make out of the blue that affect your high school career. But, aside from administration, I really like this school. Finding a group here you can resonate with is easy and exploratory is super fun freshman year. Southeastern is a vocational school, so it is preparing you for a trade in the workforce rather than going to college/s. It is difficult since, personally, I am interested seeking a higher education, and am trying the best I can to stick out. A word of advice would be to research! I am one of the lucky ones where I found a shop I like by process of elimination, but, MAKE SURE to see all the programs here. If none stick out, maybe go to another school.... Read 195 reviews

Works Here: I am in my 11th year teaching and my 4th year teaching full-time at Boston Prep. I have found Boston Prep to be an exceptional place to work. Leadership is innovative, compassionate, and hard-working. Staff is dedicated to helping students above all and work tirelessly to do so. The building is beautiful. Best of all, the students are creative, bright, and many of very high-achieving. This is not to say that the work is easy because it definitely is not. Closing the achievement gap is, indeed, very challenging work but I cannot say enough good things about how hard everyone at Boston Prep is trying to do that. No work place is perfect but every single day, I am grateful to work at Boston Prep, including now, when we are remote-teaching and learning. Parent: APR is an excellent charter school. While some schools focus solely on academics the teachers at APR reward Kaizen and Gambatte, which translates roughly to continual improvement and never giving up. That means that even if a student isn't at the top of the class, he or she is celebrated for the effort and the willingness to stretch. An example is the requirement that all students learn Mandarin. Most students would argue that they wouldn't be able to learn to read and write such a complicated language, but they all achieve some level of proficiency as long as they work hard. By focusing on character, the faculty is able to pull out the best of students, whatever their individual skills may be. Almost all student go on to higher study, and that is because there is an expectation that students will stretch themselves and not give up. Alum: My four years at the Norfolk Aggie were some of the best of my life! Excellent hands-on learning in a variety of fields from marine science to forestry, welding, small engine repair, environmental science, livestock management, and many more! With both vocational and academic classes each day, Norfolk Aggie gives you a great balance of classes to keep you excited to come to school every day. There are also an abundance of clubs for everyone's interest such as Kennel Club, Adventure Club, Theatre Club, Agricultural Mechanics Club, Veterinary Club, and Floriculture Club. Afterschool sports are very popular and our teams are competitive, many times making it to state championships! On top of it all, the Norfolk Aggie has an amazing and welcoming environment. Junior: Neighborhood House Charter School, also known as NHCS, is a very great school in the Fields Corner area of Boston. The teachers are kind, helpful and very friendly towards the students. Students are kind and friendly to eachother, which created a welcoming environment. Although it is a very small school, everyone has a big heart for one another. There are strict dress codes but not too strict as you may think, you are able to wear shoes of your choosing everyday and you are able to carry around your phone freely. NHCS is teaching students to be responsible and to be grown. They go hard on your academics but it is definitely worth it. Parent: I love the school. My daughter started fifth grade this past year and I got nothing but positive support and a wonderful welcome from all of the staff. The support staff is wonderful, and the office staff is good. All of the teachers are really dedicated to helping the kids learn in different ways. I am so happy I found this school and that she can continue onto 6th grade next year. Senior: My name is Danicka Theodore and I am a Senior at new heights charter school. I have been going to new heights charter school since it was built in 2016. I was chosen from the lottery and began to attend this brand-new school. I was part of New Heights' first ever 6th-grade class. I have now been attending for 7 years. The NHCSB has such a close-knit community. Most of the teachers and staff have watched me grow up. Because of its amazing teacher-to-student ratio, I have developed amazing relationships with my teacher and administrators. NHSCB offers the best quality education and the opportunities of a lifetime. While In high school, I took dual enrolment classes and I will now graduate with my associate's degree. Though New Heights is perfect to me I wish that it had a more developed sports program. Many athletically talented students have left NHCSB due to their lack of sports opportunities. Niche User: The teachers were determined to guide the children to the next grade and make sure they understood the curriculum. Many teachers were frustrated with the ones who didnt follow directions but the student support office staff were great coaches.
