Senior: Located in a rural area, Midd-West High School is a great institution to attend. A majority of the students are heavily involved with the various clubs and activities that are offered here. For being a small school, many of the teachers are overly qualified. One teacher previously worked for NASA and another previously worked in the Pentagon. The school lacks diversity, which causes some minor issues, but this truly is a good environment to be in. The administration consistently looks out for its students and wants to ensure their growth. With a variety of AP courses, opportunities for seniors, and higher level courses, Midd-West ensures that its students are well equipped for college. No school is perfect, but Midd-West High School gives its students a quality education.

Junior: Mifflin County High School sets its students up for success for life after high school. Many of the teachers and administrators educate students on college and other vital aspects of it such as federal aid, scholarships, grants, interest rates, loans, etc. The teachers are very approachable in several ways, both as a teacher and a counselor if one is going through a rough time. Several AP classes are provided to students to prepare them for the college workload and their prospective major. Other classes, like Personal Financial Management, are provided to the students to learn about other vital skills including balancing a checkbook, calculating a mortgage, learning how to do taxes, writing checks, conducting an interview, budgeting money, etc. Outside of the classroom, several clubs are provided to the students to express their interests and meet new people.

Sophomore: My experience at East Juniata Junior/ Senior High School has been pretty good. My favorite part of the school is their music program. We have a really talented group of students in the band and chorus. It helps that we have a really good band/chorus director who puts a lot of time and effort into the program. Our program consists of concert band, jazz band, combo, marching band, and chorus. My least favorite part of the school is the food and our cafeteria. Overall, the school does a good job for being such a small school when it comes to academics.
