Center Line High School
Junior: I've attended Center Line Public Schools since I was just 4 years old. I'm 16 now and I can definitely say that while the district has its problems, many students are able to thrive here. There are three "academies" within our school: ITI, HHS, and FA (Industry Technology Innovation, Health & Human Services, and Freshman Academy). You choose an academy after your freshman year and you take career-focused classes like graphic communications or firefighting based on your chosen academy. It's really cool and it's something I love about my school. One of the things I don't like about Center Line is the administration. They push college on students really hard, but do almost nothing to actually prepare the students for what college is like. Also, they make it seem like a 4 year university is the only option, when that's not what everyone will end up doing after high school.
