Senior: Mountain House High School is a great school with teachers who are truly eager to help their students. Most of them give great lectures and provide support to those who need extra help with material. They are very approachable. The students are also nice. It is not very hard to make new friends and to find an accepting community to support you throughout your high school years. There are many high school events and rallies designed to improve high school spirit. Junior: While hating on one's school, being negative or picky, or having irritation with schools is oddly a popular trend amongst students, one does not have the chance to jump on the hate bandwagon if they go to Millennium. Millennium Charter School offers amazing classes, taught by phenomenal teachers such as Harvard, Stanford, and USC alums, and resources that former MHS students preach made them extremely college ready, especially compared to their undergraduate peers. While school culture can be improved when it comes to rallies, spirit, and more, that problem sort of lies on default teen embarrassment of being excited about something. Millennium's environment is extremely welcoming and helpful, and administration and staff ensures all students are protected, doing their best, and have the most beneficial material available to them. Middle School Student: I find the diversity of Wicklund to be easy to fit in to. I've seen people of almost any ethnicity I know of and racial bias is rare. People freely showed that they're comfortable in their own skin which makes it easy for others to be themselves despite some bullies in my grade level. The education is also very good and is improving since the district is starting to further itself from the old school culture of paper and pencil by introducing chromebooks. I found that the teachers were much better in the past but the school hired some new teachers in my seventh grade year after many of them had to be transferred to another school in the district. Some of those new teachers weren't very good and were even disliked by a lot of students. I think the school should hire more teachers that truly enjoy teaching and bring joy to the classroom.... Senior: John C. Kimball High School was a 5 out of 5 star experience for me. From my 4 years there I gained so much experience & they have prepared me for the real world. I've been really involved at Kimball. For instance i joined a few clubs, i joined cheer for 3 years, & I joined leadership for my senior year! The atmosphere at Kimball is so positive. Junior: The staff at Tracy High are welcoming and friendly - though they do have their days. I would say I have had mainly positive experiences with my teachers in my time being here, but because of the teacher shortage I have found that some of the teachers at Tracy High do not carry out their job as well as some others. There are a few teachers that make the school extremely special and worth attending. They teach with rigor and enthusiasm and make learning fun and enjoyable - but not too easygoing. It’s the perfect amount of easy and difficult so you learn how to do things independently. I think the quality of their teaching is so immaculate that sometimes I wonder why they are teaching here and not at universities. I can tell how much they enjoy their jobs and how they enjoy helping and interacting with the students. While the school isn’t quite perfect, there is some charm and some beauty to it. Alum: I attended Jefferson and it was a great experience. The staff really cared about the students and were a great source to turn to for receiving help and addressing concerns. The academics help prepare students well for high school. There was a lack of electives at the time but I took part in the band program, which was really dedicated and one of the most memorable aspects of middle school. Senior: Merrill F. West High school is a very diverse, and healthy environment for their student population. There are many different programs students can get involved in like the Space and Engineering Program, FFA, JROTC, AVID, and the Pack Leadership Program. Additionally, there are multitudinous sports and clubs one can join for extracurricular activities. Overall, the teaching and administration staff are very hard-working and care about their students.
