Senior: The Woodlands high school has been an amazing experience for me. I have been honored to play varsity baseball, both junior and senior year, I have amazing teachers, who have awarded me several “ students achieving excellence” awards. I have made many lifetime friends and been involved in community activities including building beds for “Sleep in Heavenly Peace”, which is an organization in Montgomery County that builds beds for kids that have never had one. The food choices could be a little better, but I believe I go to one of the best high schools in the nation! I have been excepted to Arkansas University and I am confident that the amazing teachers at the Woodlands high schools have prepared me to succeed.... Read 938 reviews

Senior: College Park is the only high school I have ever known, and it has been a good school for me for the past four years. The best parts of my experience at College Park would be the friendships I’ve made and the performing arts opportunities I’ve had. CP is where I’ve made some of the greatest connection with people I never saw myself getting along with earlier in my life, and I am forever grateful for that. The friends I have made are most likely going to be by my side for a long time. At College Park, I have played Trumpet in different Band Classes and I have been in Vocal Music class. In the band and the choir, I am able to express myself in the way that I love in many different ways. Whether it’s performing at Disneyland or just a football game, I have been able to have a beautiful passion that I have stuck with since the fourth grade. Junior: I love that they are advertising all their student services, including internships to give students opportunities to earn experience and other perks. I would like to see change or more inclusivity to scholarships opportunities more than what they offer now from their transfer scholarship and scholarships4kats. In my experience, scholarships4kats has scholarships geared towards specific majors like criminal justice, sports, and towards alumni, parents pursuing education, and people who know staff at Sam. I would also like to see change as to how long they take to investigate any crimes reported to them and to release hidden policies and fees(term and conditions) about Bearkat bundles.... Junior: ISchool High at University Park is a self-paced college readiness school. The high school classes you take are done through online lessons. The teacher is mainly there for questions, and so they can make sure you learned the content. After your freshman year, the amount of high school level classes you take is minimal. Because you can graduate high school with an associate degree here, you start taking a majority of dual credit classes. What I really enjoy about this school is that the dual credit classes you take are on the Lone Star University Park Classes. So, you take your college classes with actual professors and college students. The actual high school though, I enjoyed very much. Since it’s a smaller school, everybody knows each other, and there’s a minimal amount of conflict. It’s a very nice and friendly environment. Parent: We moved from the East coast about 4 years ago. Before moving to the Woodlands, I had a chance to talk to one of the parents from the other elementary school within the Woodlands, who suggested me to find a house within the Coulson Tough elementary school zone. I followed her suggestion and we have been very pleased with this school. Teachers are dedicated, caring and genuinely interested in student's academic and character development. They put extra efforts to make feel welcome to new students and families and you can tell easily that they love working at this school. The administration is very forward thinking, innovative and community oriented. Unlike others schools in the area, this school doesn't emphasize on only test scores but focuses on teaching children how to be a kind, self disciplined, independent, and critical thinker as well. Middle school student: I am a new seventh grader here at McCullough Jr. High. I am in the top choir and just made the volleyball team. I have all good teachers and I love that they give you built in study hall to do homework. The one thing I would change would be the cell phones. Parent: David Elementary School is an excellent place for your child. My son and daughter both have gone through all of the grade levels and had an amazing experience. The school staff are welcoming and friendly. They were prepared for the next step in their education when they promoted onto 5th grade. The school's namesake is David Vetter, also known as the boy in a bubble, and they do a fundraiser each year and all of the proceeds go to Texas Children's Hospital! Parent: My daughter is learning at Mitchell Intermediate, which is the best school one can wish for her child! She attended a private school previously, where the quality of education did not reach such high standards like at Mitchell. Here the teachers are very kind, supportive, they develop the students` confidence, independent thinking, responsibility and strong academic skills. The methods used are very creative, there are many great online tools, including features to support those who have English as second language. My daughter used to be weak in math in earlier schools and now that`s her favorite class because the teacher is investing time and effort in making the class interesting and easy to understand. Elite choir and music classes are available with lots of opportunities to perform at other locations, e.g. in San Antonio. Parent: We have two kids at Galatas and have had great experiences with the school and its teachers. The Galatas community is small, and every teacher truly cares about our kids. The school hosts many community and grade-level events throughout the year, and invites parents to participate and get involved with the school. I highly encourage parents, especially working parents, to get involved - you'll experience a different perspective of the school and understand how much everyone cares about the students. Academically, Galatas teaches what other Conroe ISD schools teach, but the teachers have recognized when our kids have had a certain interest in areas and have voluntarily developed those interests. Every concern or question we've had has been addressed by teachers or administrators. In terms of public elementary schools, this one is top notch. Alum: My time at iSchool High The Woodlands was an amazing experience for me. I had pillars of support from everyone; my teachers, the faculty, and my fellow students! My teachers were the best, especially my junior and senior homeroom teacher. She pulled me from a dark time in my life, and inspired me to do better. Because of her I got into my dream school, am part of the university’s new sport team, and got an academic scholarship for my tuition! This school cared about me, truly. Senior: I've always had a genuinely positive attitude about star academy. Going to star Academy really helped me with my academics, I went from barely passing my on-level classes to having B's in my college courses! All thanks to the faculty and staff here at Star. However, there's a negative, Star academy was designed to push students to their limits to be the best version of themselves, and it is very difficult for me to do. I learned that I had to be sure to be very persistent because in the long run it helps me and my parents because whenever I graduate, I'll only need to pay for 2 years of college. Parent: Growing up a KISD kid, and then a teacher and coach in Klein for 18 years, there was no question of where I should raise my kids! My oldest will be starting 7th grade at Hofius. Normally this phase of life for teens bring changes in attitude and character, however over this last year I have really seen my son mature in so many different situations, especially with the trying year. I feel so much of that is owed to the teachers and staff who go above and beyond to see each student as a person, not a warm body.
