Senior: My experience at Florida State University has been very enriching! I came into Florida State University during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, so I wasn't able to have to traditional college experience during my first two semesters. Having been here for about two years now, I find myself enjoying my time as a student. The resources provided by Florida State are amazing and very helpful. Senior: As a senior at Leon High School, my overall experience there is pretty fun. It's really diverse, but everyone really gets along well. The inclusiveness of everybody regarding clubs, activities, and parties brings the easiness of nervousness or tensions between people. The administrative staff are very friendly people and willing to help you in the time of need. The guidance Counselors are helpful on many levels, especially if you need a schedule change. Teachers are nice also, sometimes a bit over the edge but that depends on the peers in your class. Other than that, there are great clubs here to make plenty life-long connections with other students. We even have Pierian Club, where they help tutor students in need if homework help. Some cons here, is that the food isn't the best thing in the world, the interior of the buildings is dirty, bathrooms aren't clean enough, and the resources here is limited. Senior: I moved to Lawton Chiles Highschool from Northern Virginia my sophomore year. Throughout my experiences, this highschool is a very diverse and caring school that I have grown to love. Senior: Lincoln High School is an interesting experience academically. To me it seems to be an average school, and more of a generalist geared pathway to college with some flexibility. In general, my teachers for the first two years were pretty good actually, particularly for math, but I find that my teachers this year are "OK" at best. I will say that the wrestling program is great if you are committed and I generally liked the various sports I played. In terms of specialization when it comes to a particular career out of high school, it is possible to be taking either a Physics, Biology, or Chemistry focus as early as sophomore year, and as a Senior student I am currently enrolled in AP Physics C, AP Calculus AB, AP Chinese, and AP Literature, which is about the norm for seniors or juniors. I have noticed that there is a bit of a drug problem on campus with vaping being extremely common, and semifrequent disciplinary incidences ranging from fights to "bathroom encounters" of the worst kind... Middle School Student: Personally, me and my friends think it's a good school. The teachers are very nice, if we don't understand a topic, they'll usually help you. A lot of the teachers are motherly, if you're having a bad day, you can talk to them and they'll listen. Great opportunities lie ahead, the clubs are fun and the classes are nice. Senior: At SAIL High School, you'll see that there are students who are from different backgrounds. There are some who are part of the LGBT community and there is a club for them. As for the music and art, there are: Fashion design, Photography (AP too), Vocals, Guitar. There's are clubs offered for those who are interested in pursuing art or music. There is a technology class for students who are into technology. Besides the academics, there are rarely any fights and anyone involved in one at the school will be "exited" and can no longer return. So be on your best behavior! SAIL offers counseling to those who have something troubling them they can simply make an appointment with the School Counselor. This school also provides dual enrollment for anyone interested. High School Junior: My overall experience at this school was great! My favorite experience was playing the trumpet in the band with my friends. We learned how to play songs together and improved our instrumental skills. Another experience I enjoyed was volunteering with our Beta Honor Society club at the school. We all pitched in and helped our community together. Middle School Student: This school was quite different from the ones I had previously attended. It is a typical low-budget school, but I was apart of the school's Pre-International Baccalaureate Program which was an amazing experience! There is a debate as to whether or not Fairview is a certified IB school, but either way, their program did so much in order to prepare me for the real deal at the IB Program at Rickards High School where I am now an IB senior. Middle School Student: Its pretty good. They're a pretty average school. They offer a wide variety of electives but of course the food is not so good... Other than that its pretty awesome. Kind teacher, good staff, and average school community, lots of parent involment. Its not that safe though, once in a while there will be a fight but thats rare.
