Junior: Academically, sure, NUAMES really upholds the promise and standard for academic focus in the school. I really like being a student at the Ogden NUAMES campus which is a different experience then the main one because were on Weber states campus so we have easy access to the stores, library, centers, gym, etc. But what sucks is you have to pay out of pocket for about everything at NUAMES from lunch to textbooks & they have a lot of requirements in order to stay at NUAMES but I am grateful for the opportunities I've landed upon coming here from early college opportunities, supportive teachers, or assistance in determining my career path; however, one of the downsides for me personally is there isn't a lot of diversity; This isn't the fault of the school, but I'm uncomfortable not seeing many people who look like me or to whom I can relate. Some teachers/staff are extremely strict (and kinda mean), but the majority are helpful if you put in the effort. Prepare yourself! (Btw no sports)... Read 353 reviews

Parent: It’s the oldest public charter school in Utah and is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary. All three of my boys have attended all four years (5-8th) at SLArts. It’s been an outstanding school with dedicated faculty, low turnover, stellar arts curriculum including dance, music, visual arts and drama. The math/science teachers and curriculum are also outstanding. It received an A+ in the Utah Schools report card this year. If your student is an avid learner with good executive organizational skills and a passion for the arts - this is the school for you. SLArts is supportive of a diverse student body and creates an environment of deep learning. Be sure to put your child’s name into their lottery in 4th grade (usually closes by February), for consideration as an incoming 5th grader when close to 100 spots are available. Parent: Two of my children currently attend Jefferson Academy and they are both thriving. I love the leveled reading and math! I also really appreciate the emphasis on character building and reinforcing good behavior. I feel the methods used are helping my kids become not only better students, but better individuals. I am impressed with the overall well-rounded education my kids are receiving and I love the emphasis on U.S. history. Senior: I like the community at AMES. Everyone encourages each other to do better and challenge themselves. I have so many things that I probably would not have done without the encouragement of the AMES community. This includes things such as a difficult class I was hesitant to take or a volunteer experience I was unsure about. Now I am so glad I did these things. One thing that should change at AMES is College Forum. College Forum was designed to help us prep for college whether it was the admissions process or succeeding in college however, College Forum has not been very effective in my personal experience. Junior: Woods Cross is a great high school! Highly recommended school. We had a renovation recently and are always trying to improve the school in some way. We have a teen center underway for kids to shower and eat food when they don't have access to those things at home. The teachers care about and teach students appropriately and students are respectful, welcoming anyone and everyone. Junior: I definitely think this school is a great choice if you are interested in science since this school has a lot of hands-on labs and excursions that make you really passionate to learn. Another thing I like is that it is a really small school, so you get to know others better than in a larger, more common high school. Senior: It is a wonderful school! It has the best teachers of Utah, and it offers a variety of classes! Although I dislike the Summit Learning Program, FHS offers several college classes including AP and Concurrent Enrollment (CE) through Weber State University. These classes have prepared me well for college, and I will graduate with most of my Associate Degree. FHS promotes diverse learning. Students learn in various ways, so some of the learning we do is by ourselves, some online, some through books, some through teachers, and even more. I would highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a good high school to enroll in. Don't let the rumors about Summit stop you from going to this school. Parent: Since finding wasatch peak, my kids have excelled exponentially! Amazing teachers and administrators. They listen to any concerns and are proactive about helping. Instead of just worrying about passing the test, they make sure each individual child is growing in their own knowledge, which prepares them for the future. Alum: It was overall a really great experience going to school here. The teachers are very helpful and if you need help there are many teachers and tutors that will be able to quickly assist you. You move at your own pace and even get a head start on college courses. The assignments given by the teachers are very simple and easy to understand. The classes and teachers are very liniment helpful and hands on in the classroom. I enjoyed ever class even in the subjects I didn’t like. The teachers and tutors are very kind and enthusiastic about helping you receive the best education they can offer. This school really focuses on the most important thing- the student. Parent: We had a an overall wonderful experience with 1st grade at the new Wallace Stegner campus in West Valley. Pros: Great teachers with paras in every class. Alum: Career Path High School is a school where I was able to take advantage of what was given to me through both CPH and the combined courses with Davis Technical College, where both schools prepared me for both college and the workforce to where I can excel in both areas sufficiently without stressing on if I would have an issue with either areas. Junior: I have had and excellent experience at summit so far! Especially with almost all of the teachers and I think that the education is pretty decent. Our sports programs tend to do well, and is great if you want personal coaching (except for maybe football, there are a lot of football players). Our facilities are well kept and the student atmosphere is decent, not the greatest but not terrible. Our admin could do a little bit of a better job, but overall, if you are looking for a smaller school that offers pretty good education (overall) and has good teachers (for the most part and especially in the math, english and science divisions) then come check Summit out!... Works Here: I seriously cannot hands down recommend APA WVC 2 enough! This school is exceptional in more ways that could be put into words but I will attempt! All ages of students have built in programs & the support they need to succeed. Love & logic & genuine motivation is seen & addressed moment by moment! I substitute taught from September-May with some brief breaks with family emergencies. I taught every age group. I also subbed as an instructor. I experienced first hand what this school exemplifies.
