Houston High School
#67 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota

Alum: I loved Houston High School for many reasons, mostly with its tight-knit community and staff/faculty that are genuine and caring people who do a lot for every student at the school. The only thing that was lacking to me is funding and proper resources for the drama department. Other schools near our district clearly had more money and donors to afford theater spaces, tech for shows, etc., but I think Houston could do more for giving the drama department the attention it deserves.

Caledonia Senior High School
#72 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota

Senior: The teachers and staff care for the students, coming in early, staying late and providing as much help as possible. There are a breakfast club and two resource rooms that provide food for hungry students available at any time during the day. The counsellors ensure the comfort of LGBTQ+ students and staff, communicating directly with the faculty.
Caledonia is full of caring and supportive people.

Senior: I came to La Crescent in 8th grade and loved it on the first day. The students here are very nice and welcoming, its a great inviorment for new students. This year will be my last years at La Crescent High, this year we got a new princple and he has been changing everything, some of the things he changed was to increese school unity, but you cant force grades to mix together. They also kicked a bunch of the best teachers out of he highschool.
