Alum: Not until the end of high school did I understand how lucky I was to be surrounded by such incredible teachers and peers at Moorestown. As an Asian woman, one of the only issues I faced at Moorestown High School was the lack of diversity and understanding of other cultures by both teachers and my peers. Other than that, I am grateful for the numerous teachers who went out of their way to make sure their students would succeed both in school and outside of the classroom. For example, I ended up becoming close with quite a few teachers who often expressed that they not only cared for my performance in class, but mental and physical health at home as well. Any teacher can show up to work and show their students what they need to study to do well, but I strongly believe that the greatest mentors are those who are able to guide their students in several aspects of life. Parent: All 3 of my children have had the privileged of starting their academic life in this school. The teachers and staff are amazing - helpful, kind, smart, resourceful, creative and loving. They respond so positively to not only their student but the parents as well. Because the student-to-teacher ratio is low, there is more individualized learning opportunities. Those students that need more guidance AND those that need more academic challenges are both given equal attention. The PTO is open and inviting, making new families feel like they have always been there. We wish that they could have been a K-12! If you have the opportunity to send your kids here, take it.... Alum: If I had been placed at a different school, I honestly don't believe I would have come out as educated as I am today, intellectually, mentally, and emotionally. This school has taught me kindness and empathy, along with believing in yourself and others. I was blessed with such a hard working and wholesome grade group, and I'm sure that FACTS has been a large role on shaping our mindsets and personalities, no matter how small it may seem. Teachers try hard to make us succeed and take the time and effort to help us. Bullying is not tolerated, and the staff do their best to keep students in order with fair punishment. The student body is a respectable group. These are good qualities among many others. Senior: I have attended New Foundations since my freshmen year and it has been a great experience. The teachers are very caring and do their best to ensure that every student excels in their class. The school is very inclusive and diverse and allows creative freedom despite the uniform and other strict rules that are put in place for our safety. Despite the lack of space, many after school activities take place that allow students a change of pace. Students can partake in many sports or clubs like Art, science, and robotics where they can learn and use their hands to build things. Or they can join clubs like Gay straight alliance, or Muslim student association, where they can learn about their peers and how despite their differences, everyone should get along. Freshman: In my opinion, I believe that the Maritime Academy Charter High School has been one of the most substantial school that I have ever went to. If you want to ask me I don't think that most young adults that attend Maritime really understand the meaning of the word " help ", I sure know I didn't until I came to Maritime. They have shown me a great deal of many things in my couple of months I have been able to achieve a record for myself of all A's. Sophomore: My experience with Burlington County Institute of Technology has been amazing. They provided me with a rich education in many subjects. With this school one is able to choose a career major that they will take for four years. I chose Sports Medicine as my career major. During this I was able to learn anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, orthopedics, rehab, nutrition, and prescriptive fitness. The school guidance counselors have also been amazing. They have provided me with important information regarding scholarships, colleges/university choices, extracurriculars, and more. Another amazing thing about BCIT is their size. The school doesn’t have too many students. Each class is no more than 30 students. You are able to build close relationships with classmates and professors. The school is also diverse.
