Jackson High School
#52 Best Public High Schools in Ohio

Senior: I enjoyed attending this school! I am a part of the arts program within Jackson High School, and it has made me much closer with my peers. I also feel this arts program has helped me gain so much confidence. I feel as though my academic abilities have been challenged and I have been pushed, and I am grateful for that. Though I do not participate in sports, the sports teams are very good and well funded. However, what my school has in sports, arts, and academics, it lacks in diversity. The majority of the student body at Jackson High School is white. Also, the majority of the students are also wealthy. I am in the minority of students, as my family does not have much money. Overall, I have enjoyed attending Jackson High School, but it definitely does have its flaws.

Tuslaw High School
#163 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
- Tuslaw Local School District, OH
- 35 reviews
Senior: I loved the teachers at Tuslaw, very understanding and encouraging! While I was down they picked me up. When I needed a helping hand they extended both of theirs to me. I could go on and on about how amazing things are there but there is one fault, the students. Within the school there are cliches like nobody's business although everybody knows everybody you are pretty separated among your peers.

Perry High School
#280 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
- Perry Local School District (Massillon), OH
- 124 reviews
Senior: I have gone to Perry Local Schools for my whole education career. One thing that I noticed was that it lacks the correct funding for what is needed in today's generation to be able to learn at our highest potentials. What I would like to see change is for new resources to come in to give students the highest opportunity for success. Another thing I would like to see in the following years is more diversity at Perry High School. The majority of my school is Caucasian, and maybe 5% are African American. There is a huge discrepancy at Perry that needs to be fixed. One way to fix this is to reach out to students of color and to invite them to Perry. Instead of shoving them our, they could start accepting them. This change of attitude could create diversity at Perry.

Washington High School
- Massillon City School District, OH

Alum: Massillon high school helped me get into a CTE program that helped me obtain license and I was able to get a good job from it. I liked that they wanted you to pay attention in your classroom and not be into your electronics and not paying attention. Going to WHS helped me decide what I wanted to do with my future and what I didn’t want to do. I had a wonderful nursing CTE teacher who only wanted the best for her students and to help them achieve anything she could help with. Within my four years of high school 9 out of 10 I had great teachers who cared about your education. What I would like to see change is to see more students understand the reasons behind choices that are made such as electronics. Also I think a change that would be helpful is more life skills classes such as managing money, etc. They have good discipline and know when something needs to be handled.

Fairless High School
- Fairless Local School District, OH
- 38 reviews
Senior: Fairlesss High School is generally a good school. For the most part the teachers are very caring and helpful. There’s not many fights or anything to worry about it. LGBT kids though sometimes have a harder time here. My best friend is gay and sometimes the teachers and students don’t respect that and don’t help with any other the problems they face. He was told “You chose a hard lifestyle” as if he chose to be gay. But other than these issues, the school is usually a nice place to be apart of.
