Senior: I enjoyed my almost four years at Resurrection College Prep High School. Going into a school where I knew only two other people, I was extremely intimidated and shy. By mid freshman year, I had met so many friends, and the all-girls experience allowed me to be more confident and social in such a vulnerable setting. I have learned numerous things about myself and have watched my social skills progress immensely. I am grateful for the friendships and amazing connections I have made with my teachers who witnessed me grow from freshman to senior year. As much as covid affected basically everything my senior year, I hope that the previous grades have the opportunity to have the same amazing high school experience that I did. Alum: I attended The Williams School (TWS) in Ghent from second to eighth grade. It is without a doubt the most special and most rewarding educational experience I have had throughout my academic career which, to date, spans an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree. Small class sizes foster deep, long-lasting connections with peers, teachers, and other faculty and stimulate creative learning across the board. Faculty at TWS truly go above and beyond for each student and work tirelessly to make sure each student's individual needs are met. Their dedication builds a level of trust in other and in self that further empowers students to be proactive not only in their education, but also in their personal and social development. TWS provides extracurricular opportunities during a pivotal developmental period that, at larger schools, students may frankly not have the opportunity to fully experience (athletics, forensics, music); students are completely immersed. Parent: I have been a part of the Cape Henry community for over 37 years! Starting as a student in the 3rd grade, alumni and now parent! I will be honest we did visit other area schools when we were deciding where to send our first born...and after doing our due diligence decided Cape was still the best fit for our family! He has since graduated and just finished his first year at The University of Virginia with flying colors! We continue to be parents with three younger students still enrolled and are beyond pleased with the academic curriculum! But for us, developing a love of learning and having happy well rounded children is the most important thing! With this Cape Henry delivers! My children are encouraged to get involved in all areas of the community...sports, forensics, theatre, volunteering etc!
